"Doc, how is she? A-Ano pong lagay ng kapatid ko?"

"Mas lalong lumalala ang kondisyon ng kapatid mo, hija. We didn't see any signs of improvement on her condition. I think it is possible na hindi iniinom ang gamot nya."

"What? No. Imposible po, Doc. I always make sure na iniinom nya yung gamot nya."

"If iniinom nya ang gamot nya, hindi ganito ang magiging resulta at hindi lalala ng ganito ang kondisyon nya. Sobrang baba ng blood count nya at sobrang hina na din ng katawan nya. Her immune system is slowly giving up and I'm telling you, it's not good for her condition. That may lead to your sisters death--"

"H-Hindi. Hindi po pwedi, Doc. M-May iba naman po sigurong paraan. Please! Gawan nyo po ng paraan para mabuhay ang kapatid ko, Doc. N-Nagmamakaawa po ako."

"You should talk to your sister about that. We are doing what we can pero kung hindi makikipag-cooperate sa amin ang pasyente, wala ding mangyayari. Convince her to cooperate and drink her meds. Dahil kung hindi, mas maiging ihanda nyo na lang ang mga sarili nyo sa posibleng mangyari. And based on her tests at sa kondisyon nya ngayon, isang paraan na lang ang nakikita kong solusyon para mabuhay ang kapatid mo."

"A-Ano po yun, Doc?"

"She'll need to undergo a transplant operation."

"T-Transplant?"

"Yes."

"B-But... but a-akala ko po madadaan pa sa g-gamot, Doc?"

"It should have kung nakinig ang kapatid mo at umiinom sya ng gamot. Pero dahil hindi nya ininom ang gamot na binigay ko sa kanya kaya humantong sa ganito. I know it's hard for you, hija pero ito na lang ang pinakanakikita kong paraan para makaligtas ang kapatid mo sa sakit nya. Isa pa, mas magiging madali din ang recovery nya dahil bukod sa bago yung organ, matatanggal din yung cancer cells kasabay ng pagtanggal sa defected organ ng kapatid mo."

"N-Naiintindihan ko po, Doc."

"Alright. Pwedi nyo nang simulang maghanap ng donor if mag-agree silang mag undergo ng transplant operation ang kapatid mo."

"O-Okay po, Doc. Salamat po."

The doctor was about to leave when she suddenly spoke again.

"P-Pwedi po bang a-ako na lang ang maging donor para sa kapatid ko?"

"Yes, of course. But we need to test you first if compatible kayo ng kapatid mo. Come on, sumunod ka sa'kin para ma-test kita."

She agreed and followed the doctor to his office. He made her fill up something before going to a laboratory where she will be tested.

First they took a sample of her blood. Then she undergo a whole body scan, an MRI and they even took a DNA sample from her and her sister.

They got the tests result a day after. The doctor read it carefully but slowly, his brows are getting furrowed, confused of how the result comes to this.

"K-Kumusta po yung resulta, Doc? Compatible po ba kami ng kapatid ko? P-Pwedi po ba akong maging donor nya?"

She was expecting a good news but she received the opposite.

"I'm sorry to say this, hija but.... you're not qualified to be a donor."

"A-Ano? B-But..... h-how? B-Bakit?"

"You're not compatible."

She felt like her world slowly crumbling down. Pakiramdam nya ay parang binuhusan sya ng isang baldeng malamig na tubig dahil sa nalaman nya.

Hindi sya makapaniwala. Hindi nya matanggap ang naging resulta ng ginawang test sa kanya.

T-This can't be real.... H-How.....? P-Papano hindi kami naging........

But what the doctor said last echoed through her ears, caused her whole body froze and stiff at her seat.

"Hindi din nagmatch ang DNA Test results nyo. You're an O positive while she's AB negative."

W-What the-?! H-Hindi kami magkapatid?

How is that even possible if....

If she has the same birthmark as mine...
