"Why are you crying?"
"You have the audacity to ask me that question. I just don't have the heart to answer it."
"I am sorry."
"Do we really have to do this?"
"We don't have a choice."
"I don't have a choice. You have one apparently"
"Do you think I like it?"
"Don't start the conversation in that direction, ever. Do you understand?"
"Alright. I am not choosing this with your consent. I agree."
"Nobody wants you to accept your mistakes. You chose this life. You could have chosen it with my decision too."
"How am I wrong? I wanted to do a new job in a new city. You always wanted to stay around in here. I knew it ahead. Okay? I knew it but my plans changed. I want to achieve some goals. I want to build something. I want to prove myself a lot of things. Alright? You wouldn't understand it."
"Enlighten me, please."
"Do you want to come with me to the new city?"
"Why should I be the one who has to sacrifice? I love my family. My family is here. I want to be here. I spoke with you when we started dating. You said your heart was all in this city. I thought we were going to be engaged soon. Now you come here, waltzing around and informing me about your decision. How could you do that to me?"
"I am sorry. Life changes. People change. We can't help it. At least I am giving you an opportunity to move countries with me."
"What do you mean by at least?"
"You are so stubborn with this whole arrangement. You could come with me."
"It is not easy. It is a very hard decision. How am I supposed to find a job there? I have to start afresh. I have to learn the language. You already know the language. There is a huge difference in culture. I have to be a thousand miles distant from my family. I don't know about you but I want to respect my family."
"It is either them or me."
"You can't give an ultimatum. It is wrong. We both are mature enough to know that there must be a common point. We both have to meet each other there."
"That is why I asked you to come with me. We both could be happy there."
"I am just angry at you for taking a decision with only one person in mind when a relationship needed both of us. Now you are happily giving me a choice to either leave my family or be in a relationship with you. How is that fair?"
"I am sorry."
"You can keep that apology to yourself, sir. I am not leaving my family for anything or anybody. I am sad that we are ending like this. I thought we had a few more forever in us."
"So, you don't want to choose me?"
"No. I choose my family. Good luck with your job. Bye"
As she walked down the street, she didn't cry. She knew that this was supposed to happen. She wanted it to be a lie so bad that she met him right before he left for another country. After all, she loved him so much. She just wished that the circumstances were better for both of them. She didn't look back because love hurts.
