"I hate you"

"Please, listen to me."

"I don't want to listen to you."

"You were wrong. That is why I told you to stop the argument."

"Yeah, right. A good way to make me calm."

"Please, understand. Your argument can't be justified. Maybe you are just frustrated with work."

"That is our common friend. I was embarrassed before her when my husband didn't back me up. You shouldn't have done that."

"Yes, I understand that. I should have told you about that in private. I just wanted that moment to be over. It spiked a lot of negative emotions in you. I didn't want you to regret it later. Please, I am sorry."

"You don't have to be sorry. I am still angry. Let me talk to you later."

"No, wait. Please let us talk now."

"I want you to be fair."

"You know the situation. Right?"

"Yes, I do."

"Who do you think was right?"

"Not you."

"Ugh. Why do you think that?"

"You know why. You know the reason. You just have to calm down and think about it."

"I am calm."

"You say that you are calm but you are not calm."

"Maybe"

"Now, can we go out for some time? We could walk in the park."

"Sure. Let me bring my water."

"Okay"

We walked out of the house. She wanted to discuss it again.

"Why didn't you support me?"

"I told you already. You were angry and got into an argument. That conversation would have turned so ugly in a matter of minutes. You will come home, calm down after your outburst, and regret talking like that. You need to practice having some control over your emotions."

"Don't pull all these philosophies."

"This is what would happen."

"Okay. So you shouldn't have at least done that in public before everyone. It felt like I didn't have any respect there."

"You would have lost all your respect in front of everyone if I had let you continue that conversation. How do you think you approached it?"

"I don't know. I might have had my share to express how I felt about that situation. It was very unfair to me."

"Shall we talk something else?"

"No."

"I was just trying to be honest with you."

"Your honesty was rude."

"I see it now. I am sorry. I wanted to separate you from that situation as soon as possible. She is our good friend. Let us walk for now. We can talk when we get back to home. If you still think, I was wrong, then I will promise something to you. I will never interrupt your conversations or arguments."

"Okay."

We walked for a while and went back home. By that time, she came to me and told me that she wanted me to be honest all the time. This time, my honesty saved her from a very bad argument that could have ruined a friendship. She then asked me to be honest and approach these situations the same way. I told her that I really wanted her to feel happy in all relationships.

Love and Honesty went hand in hand in this relationship. Give it time and patience.
