"Hazel, please. Let's go. You have been sulking into this bed for a week now. He is gone for good. He was so self-centered. You saw all the signs yet stayed. Now he dumped you. Let us celebrate something" She didn't budge.
"You can go party. I am not in the mood. I just want to finish this book today", She opened her book again. "I mean it. I am not saying it so I could go back into my depression. Can you please understand?"
Her doe eyes can never disappoint. Elle threw her handbag on the floor and squeezed herself into the couch.
"Do you think he ever loved you?"
"He did. I just couldn't see this breakup ahead"
"I saw it"
"Really? How?"
"He sighed a lot"
"What?"
"He sighed A LOT"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Remember the time when we hang out in the theatre?"
"Yeah?"
"Yes, he sighed a lot when you were talking about your obsession with that theatre play"
"Now, Did he?"
"Yes, It was so weird. He was not wrong but weird. You were talking enthusiastically about your childhood and he sighed. As if he is waiting for that to be over. Good riddance, Wheww" Elle bid goodbye to that relationship in the air.
"I am sorry"
"Don't be sorry, You did good. You felt like he loved you with his best when you were together. Maybe you will realize a lot of things later. It is all good. It is a good experience"
"Now when did you become a therapist"
"I am a good one when it comes to others. But my choices are no good".
"True. I have seen your choices" Hazel laughed under the books.
"No shit Sherlock"
"I really didn't want to go partying today"
"I get it. I am comfortable anywhere. We can do what you like. Read your stupid books. I will make a snack"
"Please make me a sandwich too"
"How do you know I was making a sandwich?"
"Elle, Sandwiches are like the air you breathe"
Hazel cuddled up with the book, knowing that sandwiches make her life better.
