Love is beautiful

"Just to make it clear, you are saying that you want to marry me ?" Lea gasped at her boyfriend. Sorry now Fiance.

"I mean it. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you be my wife?"

"Sure, Matthew. I have been longing to be your wife. I just can't believe this is happening" Tears rolled down to her kneeling boyfriend. "I will be your wife. I love you" She helped him up and hugged him so tight. So tight that it could break his bones, literally.

"Ouch. That was tight"

"Sorry, sorry. My bad"

"Here is your ring" He put a ring on her finger. It fits perfectly. The cameras went off. Lea turned around. She saw her best friend Rory standing there. She ran towards her like a toad to hug her. Her tight little pink dress slowed her pace. Rory was in awe.

"I knew that it would be you. Dork. My ring fits perfectly"

"Ah.. I am so happy for you Lea. He is such a gentleman. You are engaged. Haaaaaa." Rory was hugging her and jumping around. "That is how you found out?"

"Yeah. I can't seem to have any clue over all this"

"How could I keep this a secret? I left so many clues. I was afraid you would notice it. Classic Lea"

"Oh my god, No. I absolutely love this"

"Is it?"

"Yes, I want to show all this to my parents. Especially my Pop and Grams. They were waiting for me to get engaged. They would be so thrilled. I can't wait"

"Of course, your grandparents were the ones nagging you always. I love them"

"We always meet Grams with beautiful frocks while we were 8 years old and she would happily hug us and say that we would be beautiful brides someday. Do you remember?"

"Yeah. She always wanted that. Now, Come meet my fiance"

"Ooh. Fiance. Fancy" Rory walked over to the curb.

"Thank you, Rory. For helping me plan this" "So, Can we take pictures now, Fiance, before it is dark? I have another surprise waiting for you"

"Oh, god what would I do without you? Also, beautiful sunset"

"Yes," Rory started clicking candid pictures of them admiring the sunset. Suddenly the birds started going back to their home and adding a perfect little background. Lea laughed. Rory was happy. Matthew was proud of his accomplishment.

"What is the other surprise?"

"You can't wait for it. Can you?"

"I can wait for it"

"Today is an amazing day for us. Look over there" Lea's parents, and siblings were waving at her on the shore. She started to bawl her eyes out while running towards them.

"Mama, Papa. Look at my ring. I'm engaged" She shouted as she ran towards them. Maththew's parents also joined them.

The day just got sweeter and sweeter. Lea was wishing it would not end. They all shared the big news together and went to eat dinner. Rory was still clicking pictures.

"Roar. Come sit with us. We can click pictures later"

"Sure. But before that, I want to raise a toast"

"Now, do you?" Lea laughed at her with shyness.

"To my best friend and her best friend aka boyfriend and now fiance. I am so proud of you both. This was such a sweet little evening. One more golden touch to it. Here we go" Lea turned around with a smile towards the door as Rory pointed at it. Her pop walked in followed by her grams. With a big smile on their faces, a small surprise to the family but not to Lea.

"Lea"

"You guys" She was crying continuously with her makeup running down her pink cheeks. She can't believe how the day was a celebration.

"How can we not be there when our little angel is getting engaged?"

"I didn't have a clue at all. Is this you Rory?"

"It was all part of the plan. I drove them here"

"Were they waiting here?"

"Yeah"

"I love you all"


Everyone was tearing up because it was their big day. Lea turned around and saw everyone wipe their tears. In Lea's world, Tears were suddenly so beautiful.
