"I am going to work"

"I will miss you"

"Don't worry, alright"

"How can you say that?"

"I mean, It will be just another year or two. I will be back soon."

"The uncertainty kills."

"I know. I can understand. But you knew it when you signed up for it."

"Yes."

"There is no backing down now."

"I am a human. I am allowed to back down."

"Now right now. Nuh-uh."

"Please, understand"

"You should be understanding."

"Okay."

"I will be back soon. Take care of the kids."

"Sure."

My husband is going to the military. He is stationed for two more years. We knew this before but right before this departure, our son fell sick. We tried our best to give him proper care but he needs a lot of surgeries. I am devastated. My husband and I decided that I can manage it on my own while he was away on duty. When the time was near, I just couldn't hold back my emotions. I am happy that he works for us. He created a very comfortable life for us. I am so happy to see him. My kid woke up after two back-to-back surgery. I can't fathom the pain.

"Hey, Adrian. How are you, baby?"

"I am good, mommy. I am alright. I want to drink some water."

"Sure, sure." "Here you go."

"Thanks, Mommy. Where is Daddy?"

"He is off to work, baby. He said that he would be back soon. Your brother said that he will take care of you until daddy comes home."

"But he promised me that he would get me Hot Wheels when I am off surgery."

"He didn't forget that. He knew that you would be alright soon."

"So, will he get me a hot wheel?"

"Of course. But he said that he wants to give it to you in person. So we have to wait for him. Can we wait till he finishes work?"

"Sure, mommy. Can I have some more water?"

"Of course. Let us call your brother in." His face lit up as usual after he saw his brother coming.

"Hey, Adrian."

"Hey, bro"

"How are you feeling now buddy?"

"I am alright."

"Mom, Did you tell him about Dad?"

"Yes, I did."

"Adrian, you got to listen to us. You can't be crying about dad. You good?"

"Yes, I got it."

He ran into my arms after he saw me crying in the bed. I hugged two of my babies and sat right there. In his line of work, my husband faces a lot of obstacles. He chose this career for himself. He was always passionate about it. He loves us all too much. Our faith and prayers always bring him back healthy to us. This time around, we are looking forward to it too. After we went back to the house, I got a call from him.

"Hey."

"Hey. We are back home."

"How is he doing? Did he ask about me?"

"He did. But his brother was mature enough to handle it this time."

"Ah. He is growing up. Remember how he cried the first time?"

"Ah, yes. He was crying for 2 days straight. I remember he got fever a day later."

"Such precious babies we have right there."

"Yes, Yes we do"

"Hey, I wanted to tell you that I miss you. I wish I could be there helping you with the kids and chores."

"Yes, I know. I miss you too. You will be back in a few months."

"I hope so."

"I love you."

"I love you so much."

Not just words, There is Love and Faith in this beautiful little family and life.
