Brystal broke into a run as the ships began shooting down at the townspeople. Her instincts were running high, but she barely knew this place as well as the Crosshairs. With all of the strange shaped buildings and new sights to see.
Chaos was no making its mark across the planet like spaceport. Something once so beautiful and magnificent to her had become a war zone. Just like how life could take an unexpected turn like her life always seemed to.
Her eyes immediately darted towards the balconies were leading towards the docking bay. She could hear Frida and the others calling after her, but that was the least bit on her mind. This could be her last chance at escape from everything.
She could fly a pod, Alejandro had already taught her how to manage to drive a few. She could get a signal back out to the Enterprise and plot coordinates. Finally be home for once.......maybe then she could erase the bounty Marcus had put up on her.
She could only dream of what might happen when she got back. Before she could be stopped, she darted off up the series of stairs. Fueled by a sense of hope sparking across her body.
"Shit!" Jason and Silas halted at the stairs.
"Language!" Frida warned them.
"We have no time for this!" Silas shot back, "Sooner or later Anya's going to figure out Brystal's on a pod!"
"Oh, so we state the obvious first?!?" Jason retorted, "We need to distract Anya from the right pod. We caught her first. We get her to Arik and the missions over."
"Well, she"s not gonna make this easy!" Jason yelled.
All their eyes darting at the sound of gunfire heading closer breaking through the silence of the sky. Watching as people fled into shelters and children screaming for their parents. Everything fun and loving had turned to complete terror with a snap of a finger.
Silas was seething with hatred towards Anya, crawling into his ribcage. It wasn't hard for him to hate a woman so focused on killing one person when she hurts others in the process. She was practically the same terrorist Arik was.
The group watched as white vibrant stripes of light floated beside them before the slight image of guards began to appear. Pitch black armored with large masks becoming ever so visible. The group made eye contact with one another as if agreeing on a plan.
"You two go find her!" Frida shouted as she unveiled a pair of daggers hidden underneath her dress, "I'll keep them distracted."
Jason and Silas began running up the stairs just when the bad guys were fully on the spaceport ground. Frida readied herself, knowing her basic skills. The soldiers registered her presence, pulling out their large guns.
