The crew of the U.S. Enterprise had been stuck at home in California for the past few weeks, stationed at Starfleet. Each crew member was pulled int different lives as they stayed at Starfleet. Always being pulled aside for interviews and statements about the events with Khan and Marcus. But everybody was good to see their family and friends again during their weeks back in California.
Khan was put back in his cryotube, freezing him so he would never wake up again. The many others in the cyrotubes had been placed beside him in a prison. Starfleet made sure that placed was sealed, tightly.
Jim Kirk was still asleep, safe and sound in a medical office. Leonard was always there every day watching over his friends vitals, making sure Jim was recovering well. He only left his side to spend time with his girlfriend, Olivia and to get some sleep.
Hikaru Sulu spent most of his time off with his family and Starfleets security. Chekov, Callum, and Scotty had decided to work on rebuilding the damaged Enterprise in their time, wanting the ship to look new when Kirk woke up. Nyota spent the majority of her time with Olivia and Carol after the battle.
But Brystal had more complicated issues.
She made frequent visits to the medical bay, checking up on Jim, something that made her feel worried sick at night. She had been there to see Khan placed back in his cyrotube where he belonged. She took time alone to readjust from the Khan And Marcus ordeal. Most of her days were filled with waking up from nightmares and frequent meetings with the council.
The council and her had been planning when to hold the ceremony for her parents and the other people who had lost their lives. Brystal was trying to get the council to agree to wait until Jim is awake and well so he could be there at the ceremony. Since her godfather, Callius was now the highest ranking Admiral it helped with her argument in the situation.
Brystal didn't have anytime to relax or recover and enjoy her time back in California. She felt that she had many duties to do and make sure they were accomplished. She barely talked with her friends since of how much was on her schedule.
She was only able to socialize with Callius and his wife since they were family. She couldn't reconcile with her brother, Kit, who was on a mission. So mostly she stayed for dinner at Callius's so they could talk about the meetings.
Edward and Aera Callius were her only guardians now as it said do in her parents wills. She needed time to recover from nights of sleep lost. But it was always the same.........
Brystal turned seeing Khan behind her. The floor was covered with innocent peoples bodies. Blood staining the floor around them. Even the bodies of her friends: Leonard, Olivia, Uhara, Spock, Scotty, Sulu, and Chekov laid on the floor. Even the bodies of her parents laid on the blood stained floor.
