Curiosity killed the cat.

That stupid saying that meant nothing to do with a cat. You got in deep trouble if you knew the dangers. But somehow Brystal still gently glided behind a wall as Ardya and Viper turned a corner into the ship docking bay.

The walk was cluttered with equipment and cargos boxes. One noise would signal them to turn around. That was a mistake she could not dare to allow.

The twos walk was slightly out of sync, Viper looking like a man on a new mission. Ardya just a second in command. Doing all the could to quell their usual razor sharp tongues and violent tendencies.

Leaving the meeting was already unusual of her. She would never have waited to go after them until the meeting was over. But after Olivia's communicator talk, her suspicions had reached a high summit.

She felt like some deep-cover operative.

"Shall we still proceed with operation 665?"

"Vita was a small, minuscule planet. It will mean nothing to us. Can you believe the council thinks we really wanted the firebird whore arrested," Viper smiled a closed-lip smile, that looked like an evil snake, "They don't even know that part of the plan."

"Council approval may be sacred, but it's even now," Ardya agreed. The woman length ing her stride as she began to unhook the metal clasps keeping the large ship down.

The words steamed into the lukewarm room. The sound of Viper's oily, cheery voice just sounded off completely. So out of character for him.

"The tides have evened out."

Her ears tried to memorize every word. All the meaning of substrata that was carefully hidden away in their commanding voices at the debate. Her breath was quiet to the point where it blended in with the sound of a motor starting below.

"They got what they wanted."

Vipers cool exterior matched the same plastered face of Arik Soong. When evil seemed to wiped out, viper could put a dent in justice. He stood on the ramp, carefully looking around.

He didn't notice when Brystal casing herself back into the shelter of the corner. The shadows wrapping around her in the blank darkness. Hating how she allowed her mood to immediately sour after probably winning the debate.

Ardya looked like a happy school boy, who had aced all the tests. A loyal pupil of Arik, but now it seemed of Viper's. No wonder why she looked to him to give her an idea on what to say. Whatever sounded basting or shot out a threat.

"Arik kept away the Abronath fora reason by itself. It wasn't just a new addition to his collection of ancient artifacts," Ardya then broke out into a chuckle, "They don't even know what the abronath is!"

Jewelry?

Ancient carvings by an ancient species?

They were right though. Nobody in Starfleet knew what the abronath could do. It couldn't be that bad was all she could do to try and reassure herself.
