Saturday. I adored Saturdays, no idea why, just did. Today's Gibsie's birthday, so here I am, lounging on my bed, getting dolled up while Shan fills me in on everything that happened at Claire's.

"Yeah, he had a really, and when I say really, I mean really bad diarrhea," she chuckles as I grimace.

"Shan! That's gross."

"I know! But then Gibsie & Claire were shouting, so it was scaring the poor thing. I went in there, scooped up Brian, and soothed him."

I could totally see Shan as a vet still; she wanted to be one when she was younger, but that dream faded a few years back. She's always had a way with animals.

"That was sweet of you, Shan," I smile as she finishes brushing my hair.

"Are ya sure you don't wanna come?" I asked her as she sat in her cozy bed, surrounded by pillows and blankets.

"I'm fine, go have fun with your boyfriend," she drawls in a teasing tone, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Me and Gibsie don't like each other like that." I playfully roll my eyes as she shoots me a skeptical look.

"Liar, you two used to be all lovey-dovey."

"Key word in that, Shan, is used," I chuckle, admiring my outfit in the mirror.

"Do I look okay in this,I don't look ugly..do I?" I ask, striking a pose as she playfully rolls her eyes.

"You look like a princess, Aurora - no pun intended," we both giggle as I grab my bag and Gibsie's birthday present.

"Right, I'm off, Joey'll be back in the next twenty minutes, the boys are in bed so... relax," I say, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"I'll try to, love you Rory," she smiles as I make my way to the door.

"Love you too, ring me if you need anything 'Kay?"

"I will, now go on!" she says with a grin as I chuckle, closing the door behind me.
