"You're looking better," Declan said with a wide smile, planting himself at the end of my bed. He gave me one of those cheeky grins he always used when he thought he was being charming.

"I've always looked better, you wanker." I laughed, throwing a pillow at him. He caught it easily and rolled his eyes, though his grin didn't fade.

"You wish," he teased back, tossing the pillow aside.

Before I could respond, Aiden's groggy voice cut through the air as he shuffled into the room. His hair was a mess, and he was rubbing sleep from his eyes. "So what news do you have for us? You woke me up at 12 in the afternoon, so this better be good, Angel." He yawned loudly, stretching his arms over his head. Declan chuckled at his dramatic entrance.

"Mate, you literally slept for a solid 13 hours. How are you still tired?" Declan shook his head in disbelief, while Aiden shrugged with a lazy grin.

"Some of us actually know how to relax. What can I say? I'm a professional sleeper," Aiden replied, dropping onto the chair beside the bed. He gave me a mock serious look. "Now spill. You've got me curious."

I felt a wave of nerves suddenly wash over me, and my fingers fiddled with the edge of the blanket. The news I was about to share wasn't just any news, not for me at least. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart, and finally blurted out, "Well, it's good news—well, for me, anyways. Last night, Gibsie asked me to be his girlfriend."

There was a brief pause, and for a second, I wasn't sure how they'd react. Then, both of their eyes widened simultaneously. Declan's jaw dropped slightly before he let out a loud, incredulous, "No way!" He leaned in closer, looking at me like I'd just dropped the biggest bombshell of the year.

Aiden's face split into a huge smile, and without missing a beat, he pulled me into a tight hug. "Angel, that's amazing."His voice was warm, and I could feel the genuine happiness in his words. "You better have told him yes. That lad's been obsessed with you for ages."

I giggled into Aiden's chest as he squeezed me, and when I pulled back, I saw Declan still staring at me, his eyes flickering between surprise and amusement. "Gibsie, huh?" Declan finally said, grinning as he crossed his arms. "Took him long enough."

I nodded, cheeks flushing a little. "Yeah, I said yes. I mean, it was kind of a no-brainer."

Aiden's grin grew wider, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I'm honestly just surprised he had the guts to ask. He's usually a walking disaster around you." He shook his head in mock disbelief. "Remember that time he nearly tripped over his own feet just saying 'hi'?"

Declan laughed at the memory. "Oh yeah, that was classic. He was trying so hard to play it cool, and then he just face-planted in front of everyone."

I groaned, covering my face with my hands. "Don't remind me! I thought he was going to run away and never come back after that."
