in honor of the 1 year anniversary of this book, i decided to do the most requested prompt! this is the closest i'll get to writing smut so yall better enjoy - i apologize in advance.. i wrote this last night and it was so rushed im sorry ik i can do better 😭😭
you're laying skin to skin with colby. your foreheads resting on each others. you lay there in silence as you try to catch your breath and gather your thoughts.
he rubs his hand through your hair and pulls his head away to kiss around your face gently.
"you okay?" he mumbled
"mhm" you nod, tracing shapes with your finger on his abs
"do you want me to run a bath? and we can just relax"
"yeah that sounds nice"
"okay" he kisses your forhead one last time before leaving the covers. he slides his boxers on quick "i'll be right back"
he was only gone for a few seconds. he came back with a towel for you to clean up then he goes back to the bathroom to start running the bath water
you find one of his shirts on the ground and pull it over your sweaty body before meeting him in the bathroom
you walk in and he's just pouring some bubble bath in the water. you walk up to the counter to grab a brush out of the drawer and he turns around and joins you
"can i help?"
you look in the mirror and see him walking towards you "sure" you smile and hand him the brush
he gently holds your head and brushes your messy hair out carefully. you look at his face through the mirror and admire how focused he looks, he's so cute
after a few minutes, he presses a kiss on the side of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine. "the bath is ready" he murmurs agains your skin
you turn towards him, his hands slide down to your waist as he looks at you with a soft smile. "come on" he says taking your hand and leading you to the tub.
you lift your arms up and he tugs at your (his) shirt and pulls it over your head before tossing it.
he helps you step in, his touch always gentle and caring. the warm water envelopes you as you sink in with a sigh. colby climbs in behind you as you lean back in his chest. he wraps his arms around you, pulling you close as the bubbles float around the bath
for a while, you just enjoy then warmth, the closeness, the feeling of his arms wrapped around you. the silence between you two is comfortable.
colby nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck, his breath warm against your skin "you're beautiful" he whispers
you feel your cheeks heat up, even tho he says that every day. "you always say that" you giggle
"because it's true" he says softly, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. "i'm so lucky to have you, i love you"
you smile, sitting up and turning to face him. "im the lucky one" you say softly, reaching up to run your fingers through his damp curls
he grins, leaning to capture your lips in a slow tender kiss. when he pulls back, his eyes are full of lust
you turn back around and lay back into his chest "i love you colby"
"i love you too" he murmurs, his arms tightening around you protectively "more than anything"
you both fall into a comfortable silence again, the water slowly cooling but neither of you want to move just yet. colby's fingers trace little patterns on your arm, his touch soft and soothing
after awhile you sit up again you help wash eachothers bodies. his movement is slow as he rubs your shoulders, as if he's cherishing every second
eventually the water gets too cool and colby presses a soft kiss to your temple "let's get ready for bed" he says gently
you nod, feeling the chill of the water starting to kick in. colby stands first, stepping out of the tub then grabbing a towel. he wraps it around you as you step out, his touch gentle as he dries you off with the same gentle care he's been showing all night.
once you're both dry, you go to the closet and he finds one of his oversized shirts again and slips it over your head, smiling as it drapes down to your thighs. "looks better on you," he teases, playfully tugging at the collar which is going off your shoulder.
you look down and notice the dark marks colby left and you gasp, you didn't think they'd be that dark. "remind me to cover these up tomorrow" you giggle
"i'm sorry"
"it's okay.. i kinda like them" you smile
"me too" colby smirks
you push him playfully, giggling as you walk back toward the bedroom. colby follows immediately, his arms slipping around your waist and pulling you back into his chest as you both tumble onto the bed. his warmth surrounds you again, comforting and familiar as he nestles under the covers with you. you twist around to face him, smiling as he presses his forehead against yours, his eyes soft and full of adoration.
"i love you colby" you say, reaching up to cup his cheek with one hand
"i love you sweetheart." he copy's you, putting his hand to the side of your face and for a second you just stare at eachother, scanning each others features until colby smiles again "you're so pretty"
you giggle cause that's the fifth time he's said it in the last hour "you're pretty too!"
he shakes his head "you're the prettiest"
you two giggle and hold each other for a few more minutes "ya need anything? i can go get anything you need"
"no," you shake your head "i just want you" you say quietly
colby smiled, pulling you up to his chest and you closed your eyes, relaxing onto him. his fingers tracing slow patterns on your back. you feel his chest rise and fall beneath you, his steady breathes start to slow your own and you bury your face deeper in his chest
he notices the shift in your breathing and glances down at you, tilting his head, placing kisses around your hairline. he knows you're falling asleep so a little smile tugs at his lips as he starts to brush his hand over your head again
"you're perfect baby." he whispers, his lips brushing up to your forehead again "everything about you. i'm so lucky to call you mine"
you're barely awake at this point. but his words seep to your half conscious mind, making you smile and sleepily kiss his chest in response
he shifts slightly, adjusting so you're more comfortable and your body finally relaxes completely into his. colby smiles down at you, watching as you fall asleep in his arms. he presses one final kiss to your temple, his lips lingering there for a few seconds
"goodnight sweetheart"
wow. one year ago today, i posted my very first chapter. i can't even believe that i made it this far tbh 😭 i just wrote for gits and shiggles.. i wanted to thank everyone that supported me throughout this year, whether you commented, voted or simply just read my stories, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so so much for choosing my book to read. i love you all so much and im so happy that i could help some of you.
with that being said, i wanted to say a special thanks to my bestie bc if it wasn't for her, i would've left a long time ago. i seriously thought about quitting like three times but she's the reason why im still uploading so everyone thank xplrtraphouseee
i feel like i've learned and improved so much within this year and tbh im so burned out 😭 i don't know how many more chapters i'll be writing but i'll let you guys know when i'll be leaving.
