I was at the mall with Ae, grocery shopping for the food she would be cooking at home. My heart raced with excitement at the thought of just the two of us living together, like a couple. I loved how serious she was about picking out the ingredients, and I couldn't help but smile, even though I wanted to poke the eyes of my staff, who seemed fixated on Ae. Did they really come just to stare at her?

Watching Ae's determination made me feel reassured, but I also realized we were a bit lost in the shopping process. So, I decided to hand over the grocery list to my staff and let them take care of everything. I wanted to focus on enjoying this moment with Ae, excited about the next steps cooking together in our new home.

Pero hindi pa siya aware na bahay na namin yun.

I watched as Ae moved gracefully around the kitchen, her focus evident in every chop and stir. The aromas filled the air, making my stomach growl with anticipation. I couldn't help but smile, admiring her dedication. This wasn't just about cooking, it was about us creating our life together, one delicious meal at a time. I felt warmth in my heart, grateful for this simple yet beautiful moment with Ae.

I woke up and turned to see Ae peacefully sleeping beside me, her hair cascading over the pillow, wearing my oversized T-shirt that looked like a dress on her. The sight sent a rush of warmth through me, and I couldn't help but blush as memories of last night flooded my mind. The way she had looked at me with those sultry eyes, and the way our bodies had intertwined ignited a fire within me. The sight made my heart flutter, and I couldn't help but blush as memories of last night flooded my mind.

I thought about how deeply I had fallen for her, recalling how, five years ago, I would sneak glances at her, desperate for even the smallest interaction. Each smile or shared moment felt monumental then. Ngayon, here we were, together in this intimate space, and it felt surreal. I couldn't believe how far we'd come from those shy encounters to sharing this beautiful life. My heart swelled with love, grateful for every moment that had led us to this.

After I dropped Ae off at her house, I was immediately approached by her mother and we talk in the garden. There was a sense of urgency in her eyes as she asked,

"Anak ka ba talaga ni Melissa?"

I nodded, and to my surprise, tears started streaming down her face as she held my face in her hands.

"You look just like your mother, God." she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

Curious, I asked her how she knew my mother. She took a deep breath, collecting herself, and said, "Your mother saved me once when I was abducted by her adopted sister. I owe her my life." Her words hung heavy in the air, and I felt a chill run down my spine.

"But after the accident, na wala yung memorya ko dahil sa malakas na pag sabog" she continued. "It was only recently, when I saw Slyvia, that I started to remember. Seeing her brought back everything—the fear, the chaos. I couldn't help but feel terrified that the past might repeat itself. Alam kong siya iyon dalawang dekada na ang lumilipas pero yung boses niya ay hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan."

I looked at Ae's mother, my mind filled with questions. "Who are you in my mom's life?" I asked carefully, unsure of what her answer might be.

She took a deep breath, her eyes softening as she spoke. "Your mother and I… we were best friends. But it wasn't just friendship. We loved each other deeply, but in the end, we chose different paths. I loved Issa, but I loved Mira's father more." Her voice wavered slightly as she revisited the past, but there was a sense of acceptance in her tone.
