The matter of the autumn exam questions being leaked was not to be taken lightly.

The red-robed wine master, well-acquainted with the Minister of Rites, hurriedly went to see the minister after leaving the tavern, holding a book and inquiring about the exam questions.

She learned that only she, the Minister of Rites, and the Emperor, who set the questions, knew about them. It seemed almost impossible for the questions to have been leaked.

Alarmed, she showed the book to the Minister of Rites.

The minister was so frightened that he sat down on the ground, his mind blank.

"It's alright, we'll just choose new questions," the wine master said. "The questions in this book are numerous, but we can easily avoid all of them."

The two did not dare to speak of it. They spent half a day copying the book, eliminating each question, and finally prepared two new sets of exam papers.

Returning home, the wine master lay down on her bedding.

However, the day's tension left her tossing and turning, unable to sleep, her mind filled with thoughts of the "Guide to Guaranteed Success in Imperial Examinations."

The book was truly peculiar.

At first, she thought someone had leaked the questions, but upon closer inspection, the answers were all audacious and rebellious.

Not only did it criticize Confucius, but it also dared to comment on recent major events.

If it were truly the work of a thief, how could they possess such audacity?

But if this person merely guessed the questions... to predict all the questions in a single volume, such a person was indeed dangerous...

She must find this person before they write another book!

Meanwhile, Xu Zhen was unaware of being on someone's mind.

After doing laundry during the day, she sneezed several times, thinking she caught a cold, and hurried back inside to put on a coat.

Little Beggar was still chopping wood.

Xu Zhen approached to earn some merit points and chatted with her.

A pile of firewood lay in the corner.

"You've been chopping for ten days, earning thirty coins, which isn't a small amount," Xu Zhen remarked.

Little Beggar replied, "Too little."

Xu Zhen said, "It's naturally less compared to ten taels. Do you know how long it took me to earn those ten taels?"

Little Beggar paused to look at her.

Xu Zhen noticed her gaze and knew she was waiting for her to speak. Little Beggar did nothing but look at her, her eyes reflecting only Xu Zhen, making her feel quite comfortable.

Xu Zhen chuckled foolishly.

After a while, she told her, "It took twenty years to earn."
