Part 50: Bizarre reaction

(It took another half an hour to get back on the rode as they head back home. No one spoke, the only sound being the engine trying not to give out completely as Diego pushed foward in a van that was destroyed beyond repair. Lila sat next to Diego while Five layed on Y/n's chest, asleep in the second row seat and Viktor and Allison were asleep in the very back. Y/n had her eyes closed and slowly difting off. Technically she no longer needed to sleep because she was immortal but she still got tired and sleeping, although it wasn't the only way to fix it, it was the easiest. She was about to dift off when she heard Lila start to talk.)

Lila: Look, the reason that they called me Nancy is-

Diego: I already know. 

(Diego hid it well but Y/n could tell the pain in his voice. Diego loves Lila and had always wanted a family. The idea that Lila could be cheating on him broke him inside, even if he would never admit it.)

Lila: Know what? 

(Diego sighs)

Diego: I followed you. The other night. 

Lila: You what? What, so you're spying on me now? 

(Lila immediately got defensive but Diego's voice never waivered, but the undertone of betrayal and defeat gave up the slightest bit of emotion.)

Diego: I saw you. You were in the cafe with...with him.

Lila: With who? 

Diego: Don't play dumb. The little Greek guy with the mustache. 

(Lila starts laughing, finally realizing what he's talking about.)

Diego: Is that funny to you? 

Lila: Yeah, trust me. That is absolutely hilarious. 

Diego: Our kids are going to grow up in a broken home, and you're laughing. 

Lila: Diego, the little guy... the little Greek guy was Five. we've been undercover investigating the Keepers. 

Diego: And you're working undercover with the CIA? 

Lila: See this is why I didn't tell you. You'd have some bizarre reaction. 

Diego: I'm not having a bizarre reaction. 

Lila: Anyone would think you're having a bizarre reaction. 

Y/n: I don't
