Part 118: Elaborate

(Y/n and Five blink back to the academy and find Lila's family, Diego and Lila's kids and Claire huddled together at the foot of the staircase and their siblings in the living room. Allison is laying on the couch with Klaus checking on her while Viktor, Luther, Lila, and Diego are standing and trying to figure out what to do now. Klaus was the first to notice Five and Y/n.)

Klaus: So the world's ending again, huh? Hey! Great timing. Great timing.

Five: Hey. 

Diego: Y/n, Five. Are you both okay?

Y/n: Yeah, we're okay. 

(Diego points to her.)

Diego: You, stop running off. 

Y/n: Trust me, I have no plans on running off again. Did we miss anything? 

Diego: Not really, just coming to terms with the fact the world is ending again. 

Y/n: Yeah, well, that's normal for this family. 

Luther: Where did you guys go anyway? 

Y/n: Looking for answers. 

Viktor: Did you find any?

Y/n: Yeah, a couple. 

Five: I had a, uh, long and eye-opening conversation with myself. 

Klaus: What?

Y/n: Don't question it. 

Five: We are the reason that this is happening. 

Diego: You care to elaborate. 

Y/n: We aren't meant to be here, Diego. We were never supposed to exist and when something isn't supposed to exist, the universe has a funny habit of trying to get rid of it. 

Five: Exactly, the marigold that infected our Mothers, bringing forth our births... had an unexpected side effect. It shattered the timeline, and it broke it into an infinite number of alternate timelines. The timelines are bleeding into each other. That's how the Keepers were able to find those artifacts. 

Lila: Holy Shit. Gene and Jean were right. Their dreams of other timelines were real. 

Five: So we need to go back to the original timeline before the other ones were created.

(Klaus starting waving his hands around.)

Klaus: Am I the only one who's very, very, very confused?
