Part 64: Durango

(Everyone stared at Abigail.)

Abigail: Years ago, I synthesized a new element. The very essence of the universe. 

Reginald: The particle we know as marigold. 

Abigail: And at the same moment, unbeknownst to me, a second particle was created. Durango. When marigold and durango interact, they cause... a reaction, a physical reaction. Unstoppable, irrevocable. The extinction of everything we know.

Five: The Cleanse.

(Abigail nodded.)

Y/n: Durango and marigold... is that what caused your... our home planet to get destroyed? 

Abigial: Yes... by the time I realized what was happening, it was too late for our world. 

Reginald: You couldn't have known, darling. 

(As Y/n watched the older couple she couldn't help but draw simularities between their relationship and her and Five's. Reginald conforted Abigail the same way Five had comforted her so many times before. Now that she knew the truth about her parents, she started to think back on her life and she realized that some things. Not only did she realize the time that Reginald may have shown that he actually cared for her, like coming to her when she was dying and not pushing her to use her powers until not using them almost got her killed, but she also realized how some of her own actions started to mimic her father and mothers. Her experientation with her powers matched with her mothers expieriementing to find Marigold, the diffrence is she waited until she knew she couldn't hurt anyone because she had dreamed of her powers ending the world but maybe it wasn't her world that was ending at all...)

Lila: I... I don't mean to be a dick and all, but what the fuck does this have to do with any of us? 

Y/n: You all have marigold inside you because it was sent to earth. Marigold wasn't the only element sent to earth, was it? 

Reginald: No, it was not. 

Y/n: Jennifer has Durango in her, doesn't she? That's why you killed Ben when he touched her... The marigold in him interacted with the durango in her. They would have started the cleanse. 

Reginald: That's why it's imparative that none of you can come into contact with her.

Lila: And What happened if we do? 

Five and Y/n: We end the world... 

Lila: Saw that coming. 

Luther: Uh guys? We may have a problem...

Y/n: Ben already went after Jennifer... shit.
