Part 52: Files

(After a long drive back in silence they finally pull up to the building where the keepers had their meeting.)

Diego: So this is book club, huh? Nancy? 

Lila: Oh, Shut up Diego. 

(Diego pulls over and everyone exits the car. Lila, Y/n, and Five start to head into the building while Diego hands the keys to Viktor.)

Diego: You drive. 

Viktor: You sure? Wanda? 

Diego: Yeah. I don't give a shit anymore. 

(He goes to follow the others but turns around to tell Viktor something else.)

Diego: She's pulling to the right a little bit. And don't go over 40, or the muffler's gonna fall off. 

Viktor: Got it. 

(Diego headed inside and the group walked up the stairs to find the Keepers HQ until Five and Lila stopped at a door and opened it, revealing a fully furnished office with a sofa, chair, desks, and filling cabinets in the corner. The decoration was a little outdated and looked similar to how their father had furnished the academy, or atleast the areas that were furnished.)

Five: Welcome to the Keepers HQ, courtesy of Jean and Gene. 

Y/n: I'm supprised they don't lock their doors, especially with the stuff they do.

(Lila closes the door behind her as everyone else starts to look around. Lila went to the filinf cabinet, Five went to the desk as Y/n looked through the book shelp and Diego looked through the papers that were left on the coffee table in the middle of the room.)

Diego: Jean and Gene didn't give us much to go on. 

Lila: Stay focused for once darling.

Y/n: They wouldn't exactaly be a good secret organization if they just handed out the answers/.

(Lila opened the file drawers to find nothing left.) 

Lila: All the files are gone. 

(Five started looking through the desk.) 

Five: Yeah, it certainly looks that way. 

Y/n: They must of known we were coming and moved everything out.

Diego: While you 2 stand around twiddling you dinks, and Y/n looks through a bookshelf...

(Y/n turned around and smiled at him before going through the bookshelf again. You can tell a lot about someone by what they read and they needed to know what kind of people they were dealing with.)

Diego: I got recon to do.  

Lila: There's nothing here, Diego. 

Diego: Our targers left in a hurry, correct? 

Lila: Yeah, so? 

Diego: So... hast makes waste, mami. 

(Diego walks out and Lila turns to Five and Y/n.)
