Part 78: Symbols and Trains

Five: Neighborhood of what? Christ, I never should jave listened to you. 

Lila: Chill out, Five! We'll figure it out, okay? You know why? Because someone brought a map. 

(Lila holds up the folding map and laughs. She unfold the map and sits down on one of the benchs and Five sat next to her to look at the map.)

Y/n: I don't think that's going to change much. 

Lila: And why not? 

Y/n: We followed the exact same directions as we did last time and ended up in a completely different timeline. It's like the tracks keep changing. 

Lila: Well, it's worth a shot. 

Y/n: (rolls her eyes and Five grabs her hand.) Whatever makes you feel beter. 

(Lila looks back at the map and holds it so both Y/n and Five can see it.)

Lila: Look, we're here. Take this train 3 stops to this squiggly line. Transfer at the division symbol. 

(Five and Y/n role their eyes. Five stands up when they hear the subway coming in behind them. They both walk over to the train as it comes to a stop infront of them while Lila is still taking and trying to figure out the map.)

Lila: Oh, no, wait! We're here. 2 stops on the ampersand. 

(Y/n and Five share a look.)

Y/n: (whispers to Five.) How mad do you think Diego would be if we left her here? 

Five: We can't leave her behind Y/n. 

Y/n: Fine. 

Five: (calls out to Lila.) No more winging it. 

Lila: (still looking at the map) Is that an umlaut or an ablaut? 

Five: Let's get back to where we came from. 

(The PA system starts to speak again but Lila still isn't moving.)

Five: Now!

(Lila shows no sign of moving so Y/n sighs and uses her air ability to make her float into the train as the door shuts)

Lila: Hey!

Y/n: What? You were going to miss the train. 

Lila: Well, who made you in charged?

Y/n: Whoever made me Queen of the Elements. 

Lila: Jesus! You were gonna leave without me?

Y/n: No, that's why I used my power to bring you onto the train.
