Chapter 5: 20 Questions

Seth showed back up for our next class, and on the next break, I decided to hang out with nate, not really having bonded with anyone else yet. That luckily went smoothly. I found out that Nate does not have a particular group he hangs out with, but many that he switches with.

We hung out alone outside on the fake grass though and he decided it would be fun to play 20 questions.

"Do you think I'm hot? Or cute?" Question number 7 from Nate "do you think I'm attractive? because I told you I think you are"

"Uhhh, yeah, I can't say between hot or cute though" I answer honestly.

"Well, you are so honest, lots of girls would deny it or say yes and flirt with me, at least I know you won't flirt with me though" he says.

"Okay, have you ever..." I think for a moment "had any relationship with any of the vampires here?"

"Maybe" he says and I gasp, he made it out to be such a bad thing, like lewd "but seriously, it was one and it was truth or dare and my friend dared me to let someone bite me"

I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh "really? Did you want to though? Or were you scared of being called a chicken?"

"Well, lots of the kids here have been bitten before, I was one of the amount that hadn't, so if I chickened out they would have annoyed me about it" he explains "but let's just say I never played truth or dare again, and make sure you don't, and don't give in to peer pressure"

"Okay, I won't be like stupid girls in books" I tell him. I've always found it annoying that a girl will give into peer pressure to play truth or dare just because the boy says she can't do it and so she wants to prove him wrong? Why? Yes. I can't do it, that's it, I simply don't want to.

"Yes, no stupid book girl stuff" he says "question number 8 of mine, have you ever... Had a boyfriend?"

"Uh, yeah? One when I was a little kid and this boy asked me to be his girlfriend and we 'dated' for an hour before he threw sand down my shirt so I bit him and we broke up" he tried for a second not to laugh but failed miserably and burst out laughing.

"Is that it? You've never had an actual boyfriend? With your looks and personality?" He asks and I remember back to Thomas and how I was considering his confession and then remembered the accident and my face dropped.

"Uh, there was a guy I was thinking of going out with but that never happened, circumstances changed, things got in the way" I explain.

"Oh, kind of sounds like a love story" Nate tells me and I smile sadly.

"Yeah, a tragic one" I look down.

Okay, compose yourself, keep going with fun, we have to try.

"Anyway, my 9th question for you is, which house do you live in? Which is yours called?" I ask him.

"The Gryffindor house" he says "Nah, I always forget it, it's like, Quintin house or something"

"How do you know mine but forget yours?" I ask him and he shrugs.

"Next question. Is blonde your natural hair colour?"

"Yes. What is your favourite colour?"

"Orange. 10. What is yours?"

"Cyan. What is your favourite show?"

"Game of thrones. 11. Yours?"

"Criminal minds. Um... How many girlfriends have you had?"

"Uh... 3? I don't know, there are some girls that are just weird, like they assume we are and then break up with me but we weren't official so really it wasn't a break up, but 3" he says "okay. 12. I already assume this, due to the boyfriend thing, but are you a virgin?"
