"He basically called her a whore" Nate admits, looking down at the table.

If I were texting my different types of 'me's in my head at this time, so the reasonable me, unreasonable me, sarcastic me, question making me, etc. This would be an appropriate time to use the term 'fml'.

"What?" Anne asks.

"I can't believe there are still people like that in this town" Sam says, sounding annoyed. I assume she has immediately figured out what he meant by 'basically'.

"Can we get off this topic? It was resolved, his girlfriend even broke up with him, it's all fine" I smile.

"Yeah okay, but tell me if that happens again" Anne agrees.

I smile and she smiles back, her cat eyes softening. I glance over at Carden, who was already looking at me when I turned my head. Probably creepy to some people, but I felt as if he was expecting me to look at him. Or maybe he was thinking of something. He didn't hide the fact, but made eye contact with me instead, but it didn't look like he was trying to send some sort of message to me. Rather, it looked like he was in thought and as he finalised whatever he was thinking he turned back to the group who was chatting about something.

I stare at him a little longer. I guess we're both creeps. He looks bored. But not unhappy. Not like Tom is. He can like and tolerate time with my friends. Why am I comparing?

"Hey Damien come here" Sam smiles over at Damien who was sat with Garret at a table.

I would have expected Carden to have sat there too but it seems like when we sat ourselves down Greyson immediately pulled up a chair and got him to sit kind of in between him and Sam.

"What?" Damien gets up from his chair, barely making any noise as he does, and walks over to them.

"Don't be grumpy" Sam says "it's trivia time"

She makes finger guns, dual pistol and shoots them one at a time, making a noise to go with it.

"Goodbye" he begins to turn his back on them and Sam laughs.

"Wait please" she asks.

I'm surprised. When did this happen? When did they become on casually talking level?

"What is it?" He asks.

"Do you know this guys birthday" she asks, pointing her finger at Carden now.

"Why?" He asks.

"Just cause, I think he's lying to us, we can't guess it" she says.

"I'm not joining your game" he says, looking at them with a slight smile and like a hopeless cause.

"Well thanks for nothing" she says.

"Is it in June?" Zoe asks.

"No" he says.
