Ch 21: Lemons

Hello there.

I recently noticed that the first chapters of this book, they aren't good, not that these ones are that great either. So I think that I, maybe with the help of a friend, am going to go over them and try to fix them up.

I also noticed that A/N's seem to be more readable, or noticeable when they are at the start of a chapter. So that's what I'm doing now, tell me how you like it.

Anyway, I hope you like this chapter.

"Oh, hi Damien"

I stand in worry at his fuming expression, wondering if I can actually see steam coming out of his ears. Zoe glances at Sam and Sam shifts uncomfortably in her spot. Damien scans over the three of us in an angry and authoritative expression.

"Well?" He asks, wanting an answer for his precious question "don't just say hi and not answer my question"

"I'm sorry Damien, I had a free period and Zoe and Sam asked me to go with them to get some food and hang out" I explain and then look at him with a look of curiosity "did you need me while I was out?"

"No, I didn't" he grumbles and glances at the two girls again "we need to talk privately"

He stares at me and I nod and he takes me over a little ways away from the girls to talk.

"Since we are responsible for you and your safety at this school and so on, leaving without saying a word could end up badly, do you get that?" He says to me and it clicks.

They thought I was kidnapped, or dead even. Oh my god that makes me feel horrible.

"I am so sorry Damien" I sputter out "I didn't think to tell you, I am so sorry, you probably thought I was dead or something huh?"

"Yes, and I had to go on a wild goose chase, wasting my free period on you" he says, looking annoyed.

"I won't do it again I promise" I say.

"Give me your phone" he demands.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"Just give it to me" he says, putting his hand out for me to give him the phone.

I pass it over unlocked and he starts typing stuff into it. It takes him about 5 minutes but he finally presses something and I hear his phone go off in his other hand.

"Good" he says as he rejects the call and hands me back the phone "I entered all of our numbers into it as contacts, including the headmasters office, and as I can see you already have Nates"

"Thanks " I say and put my phone back into my pocket.

"Don't do it again" he says "at least text me next time"

"Okay" I agree and he glances over at the girls who have been idly waiting for me.

They are talking between themselves. From the flustered look on Sams face I can already tell what it is that they are discussing.

Damien shakes his head and walks off, leaving me alone.

"What was that about?" Zoe asks as both of them approach me.
