After the pool everyone stuck around even longer and we all ate dinner together which ended up being fast food of course. Anne almost wanted to go to see what the fast food options were here but I managed to convince her otherwise. We got pizza in the end and I'm also lucky that Anne isn't one for randomly sharing drinks or anything because it would have been a problem if she wanted to try a vampires drink.

Speaking of drinks. If Carden and I did go out, would it really be necessary to drink my blood? They have drinks every day and Xavier is evidence that they don't need humans to survive. So Carden doesn't need my blood or anything.

But supposedly that's the reasoning behind why humans and vampires never fall in love, blood lust gets in the way. But since they are around us so much now, does it matter that much? Or when they say that do they mean in particular situations?

For instance being around each other might not be difficult but during heated moments maybe the blood lust rises as the heart rate does, causing issues to do with self control?

But really. I'm pretty sure Carden has probably had sex with some of the girls he has, as he's said himself 'pleased'. So does it have to do the the emotional connection that raises the blood lust more than general instances?

We played video games and ping pong and pool and air hockey until pretty late. All for Anne and Tom who went to their hotel during sunset. It was hard to convince them that they couldn't stay over for the night. One human in the building is enough. The boys need to be able to relax a little without the annoying constant smell of blood. I'm sure it is nicer when there's no humans to when there are. My blood may smell sweet but smell that every day and you'll probably get sick of it. Would that make Carden get sick of me? Is that why they've never loved us? Because the same blood and scent for so long gets sickening and tiresome?

Anyway they left and the others stayed a little while longer as we played video games out in that lounge. Garret eventually convinced the girls that they had to leave and Nate tagged along with them. Penny wanted to stay longer and Greyson offered to drive her home so that was fine. Now I was the only human left. Xavier had come downstairs to join us a little while ago now and he was surprisingly good at video games. Then he told me that that painting was ready from the other day, that it had been drying for a day now and I could go have a look. I really wanted to see and wasn't in the best mood to stick around all the other vampires who were all good at video games, including Penny and Damien. So I joined Xavier after he played and went to have a look at the painting.

We walk into his room, previously he wouldn't really want me to see it but I suppose he is fine with it now. There are tarps on the floor near the door all the way across to the other side of the room. But his bed and things on the far end of the room are fine, it's just this walkway in front of the bed and such that are this way. There is a smell of paint in the air, I find it to be quite pleasant. I've always been one for chemical smells like acetone and paint.
