Ch 40: Who Got Into You?

The next day I am woken by Carden, who instead of knocking on the door, walked in and turned on the light.

"Your friends are here" he says, the words actually waking me up.

He walks over to my bed, I'm still trying to properly open my eyes and I sit up, groaning a little at the slight pain I feel when initially moving my head.

He sweeps the hair that is over the bite back and runs his fingers over it, surprising me with the sudden contact, my face going red.

"Does it hurt?" He asks me, sounding almost... Concerned.

"Yup, but it's probably just hurting like this cause I just woke up, hopefully it'll die down right?" I ask him, his fingers feeling hot on my skin.

"It should" he says removing them "anyway, your friends are here, they're being annoying wanting you to hurry up and get changed"

"Right, we're going out aren't we?" I say.

"Yes you are, and those twins are here too, with their driver, Damien's ready to go, so am I so can we go?" He says, catching me a little off guard.

"You're coming?" I ask.

"Yeah" he says.

"Maybe that's not a good idea, Tom seems to really hate you" I almost chuckle.

"Fine, I'll stay home, with the painter" he says.

"Who knows, maybe he'll paint your portrait" I smile.

"Great" he says sarcastically.

He then leaves my room, closing the door behind him and I get up and get changed.

I join the others downstairs, it seems Anne has already gotten through most of the Fangirl part of meeting the twins, and I'm happy to see that Penny has joined us too. Nate smiles as he notices me coming down the stairs and so does Tom only a moment later. Nate comes over to me, gentlemanly lending his hand as I descend the last couple steps, surprising Tom, but I'm pretty used to Nate now.

"Thanks" I smile at him.

"No problem" he says "you're looking pretty radiant today"

"I might say the same for you" I respond.

"Psh, I'm always glowing" he says, flipping his nonexistent long locks over his shoulder.

I laugh and he lets my hand fall from his as we walk over to the group. Tom smiles at me and I smile back.

"Hello there Eva" Zoe says.

"Hey" I reply.

"Are we going to your godparents house first? I wanna meet them too" she asks.

I freeze a little and I notice Nate look at me in a little concern for what I'm going to do. Is it okay to tell them? I'm sure they won't really tell anyone. It's not that big of a deal right?

"Uh yeah" I say.

"Coolioes, come on Garret, let's go!" She grabs Garrets sleeved arm and pulls him out the door.

"Where exactly are we going?" Sam asks.

I quickly write it down in my phone and just text her it.

"Cool" she says as she looks at her phone.

"Nate do you want to go with them or us?" I ask Nate.

"I'll go with you guys" he says.

"Okay, let's go" Damien says, holding the door open for everyone.
