Ch 36: Shivers

HHEY. I hope you enjoy reading this chapter. I said I would bring it out in a bit and I don't think I've taken too long to do so. I personally love the ending to this chappie. I didn't even know I had written such an awesome scene. Anyway thanks for reading this book. It means a lot to me and I am trying hard to sort it out at the moment so updates will still be very jumbled and all over the place. Sorry about that.

Carden carefully picks up a lock of my hair and let's it slip through his fingers. Then he sweeps all of it onto the other side, leaving my neck completely exposed. In a simple, quick, brisk movement he grabs me, pulling me closer but still keeping me flush with the wall. My breath gets caught in my throat as he tilts my head with the slightest movement of his fingers underneath my jaw and just about bites me. The squeaking sound that comes out from my throat as my breath gets caught makes him stop abruptly. His breath comes out in long exhalations, his body begins to tense and then relax. Its like he is trying to relax himself.

"C-Carden?" I ask.

He doesn't respond, but his lips finally make contact with my skin and I flinch a little, expecting the pain that is soon to come. However instead of the bite I expect, he kisses my neck, earning anther surprised moan from me that even surprises me, my face going completely red as a shiver runs down my spine. I am pretty sure we were talking about a different type of bite right? He raises his lips from the crook of my neck, staring right at me. And then his eyes travel to my lips,  he leans in the slightest bit but then his previously lust filled eyes sharpen and he pulls away from me. That's when I realise I was moving toward him too and that I feel a drop in my stomach as he moves back.

"Forget it for now, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable" he says.

I stare back in shock. I was finally ready and this is what he does? Sure I was scared a little, nervous, but isn't that kind of a given?

"Yeah" I agree anyway, I'm not in a rush for this to happen so it's fine.

"You should rest or something, you look tired" he says to me.

"No you should really, I have to say goodnight to Sam and Zoe" I say.

"Yeah" he says and walks over to his large bed.

"I'll see you tomorrow I guess" I say as I open the door and glance back at him over my shoulder.

"Yup, but don't think you're off the hook" he says and I smile, it's good he's back to normal.

"And I really wanted to make you dance to the fun music too" I say with a smile.

"Never" he says as he lies down, folding his arms over his stomach.

"Good night" I say.

"Night"

After I returned to the ballroom and found the girls, they pulled me onto the dance floor for a little bit, completely ridding me of my nerves from earlier.

"I felt it in my chest as she looked at me" Sam sings out into the air in the centre of the floor.

"We were bound to be together!" Both her and Zoe chant "bound to be together!"
