Ch 57: Party Pooper

This is a 3k word chappie. So here ya go since I waited so long to update. Thank you for all the reads guys! I'm so grateful and amazed. I get to 9k and it's amazing and yet I know that it is because of the amount of chapters.

But today seeing how many had read the last chapter is great! That is awesome! 80 regular readers, 80! 80 people! That's awesome! And 9k overall is so unbelievable.

So yah. I'm out of school. It's quite boring. Christmas is kinda stressful but I'm also excited for it! Looking forward to a dark galaxy backpack. And some awesome Mickey birthstone earrings. So woo!

I would've titled this chapter 'pity party' but people might think it's a Melanie Martinez reference, and I don't listen to her soo... I'm annoyed that that is now tagged to her song. *sigh*, anyway.

And I'm back. Staying at my godparents house. The moment I showed up Carden was being pushed out of the door by Greyson. I was standing on the steps about to go in.

He glanced at me with a harsh look and Greyson smiled awkwardly as he continued to take Carden down the steps.

"I'll see you later Eva" Greyson says.

I have to talk to him. But obviously he doesn't want me to.

I step inside and Garret follows after me.

"Eva you're home! Why didn't you tell me that it was your birthday this weekend?!" Selene comes rushing over as Garret places the bags down.

"Sorry" I smile "it slipped my mind, honestly"

"Well that's no good" she says.

"Anne's family had a celebration with me so it's okay" I say.

She frowns and then wipes it away and smiles.

"I didn't get to organise a ball for you" she says, laughing.

"I'm almost happy about that, I don't think I would've done well under the pressure" I say, glancing away at the room.

"Next year" she smiles and nods to herself.

"Okay" I agree.

"So did you have fun?" She asks as she leads us through to the kitchen.

"Yeah" I say "it was refreshing"

"Well that's good" she says "I've got to find time to spend with them myself"

"Yeah" I say.

"Do you want a drink?" She asks me and I nod "Garret would you like a drink?"

"Yes please" he replies.

"Sit down both of you" she says as she pulls out glasses "what drink do you want? We have water, juice, lemonade and coke"

"I'll just have water" I say.
