Ch 59: Nightmares

Hi there!

Ive been writign another book lateley and reading lots of manga too, so ive been neglecting LB a little bit but I have updated within a week! So that good. I am really enjoying writing both this other book and the newest chapters of this, so look forward to those! 

The other book is probably gonna be short, hopefully I'll upload it soon enough!

Also I want to mention something. My friend Captsparkleyrainbow has a couple books out at the moment, and shes really damn good at writing, updates regularly etc. I love her books, but the one I'm currently in love with, the currently updating one hasn't got many reads and its annoying me because its so good. Its not fantasy or reverse harem its just a nice romance book and its really good. Which in my opinion are the best books. The title is 'Destroy Me' and I would love if you guys could go check it out! I like seeing her succeed because her work is so damn amazing and it would be so awesome if the book could get the reads it deserves. 

Anyway, long rant over, please check it out, hope you like it and I hope you like this chapter too.

"And does she need to be here?" Lachlan asks.

"Considering that she almost died because if it, I'd fucking think so" Carden growls in response "what are you here for?"

Lachlan glances at me and doesn't say another word.

"Calm down" I nudge him in the shoulder.

Across from us Cardens dad looks down at his knees and sighs.

"I'm sorry that you got caught up in it" he apologises.

"It's okay" I say, trying to reassure him but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work.

"I'm relieved that you are okay" he continues.

Yeah. If your definition of okay is mentally traumatised then I suppose I'm 'okay'. No stop being negative! Cut it out me.

"Carden" he looks at his son "I'm not genetically your father, but as far as anyone is concerned, you have always been my son"

Carden sighs and leans back "I was hoping it was a lie"

"And..." he trails off "about your mother"

I notice him tense up next me, his hand clenching into a fist, so I take hold of it, rubbing circles on the back of it.

"She was killed in a car accident" he says.

"Well it wasn't an accident, was it?" Carden asks.

"No" he admits "Weston had been following your mother for a while, and after she tried to talk to him about meeting you, he lost it. He was repulsed, he wanted nothing to do with us and wanted her gone for ruining his reputation"

I'm pretty sure he ruined his own reputation. The man was psychotic.

"So had someone do it and he made it look like an accident" he says.
