...Fuck me.

Man, that fucking transport was an absolute shitshow, especially with people getting depressed at seeing an unconscious Spartan. Well, besides a disappearance of a shitload of people in that pelican, I'd say the crash was definitely one of the better scenario's. Just one problem, the pilot suffered a very severe brain injury from both being in the Warp and the sudden portal speed shit leading to that crash.

In other words, we need a new pilot, and hopefully in a week, since that's how long command says it'll take to repair our pelican. Hopefully, no one suffered the Corruption shit that the Warp gives people in the 40k universe. Opening my eyes, I stretched out my arms before sitting up on my bed, ready for whatever the fuck I'm doing today. I wonder if the others are awake yet, or if their still unconscious.

As I got up, I began to wonder how the pilot was going to be with being Medically Discharged from service. Well, it's shitty for that to happen to him like that, he's been flying for the Alpha Team for a long time before I showed up. Well, at least he taught me how to fly the damn thing, so if the Alliance has trouble finding a pilot for it, I'll fly the damn bird. Perhaps one of these days, I'll visit him and see how he's doing.

Walking to the door, I opened it and looked down the hall, noticing that all but Rena's door was close. Rena's door was barely opened, with a bit of a small crack showing the dark interior. Further down the hall, I saw what looked like the living room light on, telling me a potential location of where Rena could be right now. Well, we got nothing else to do, so I'll check on her and see how she's doing.

Getting out of my room and closing the door, I began walking down the hall, the silence interrupted by the distant sound of someone sighing heavily. Going to the end of said hall, I peeked out and looked at the living room, seeing Rena sitting on the couch with her hands on her head. Watching her, she was scratching her head like someone would from getting hit in the head, which technically happened.

Walking out of the hallway, I began walking over to her, saying,

Zero: "Morning, get enough beauty sleep?"

Rena (groans): "What happened?"

Zero: "Well, I made a portal that brought us back home, and then we crashed next to Armistice Base."

Rena (perks her head up): "Armistice? How's that place doing since we last left?"

Zero: "Fine, especially with help from the Shadow Legion against Cerberus. Tramsworth took the reins too, so that's going well with her leadership."

Rena nodded after I said that before leaning back, sighing in relief this time. As she did, I noticed that her armor was off, leaving her one-piece bare and showing her figure. Walking over to the couch, I sat at the other end of the couch from Rena before leaning back and saying,

Zero: "Well, there are some things I should tell you while you and the others were unconscious."

Rena (worriedly curious): "Like what?"

Zero: "To start, our pilot got a TBI, so he's being discharged, second, our pelican's fucked, and it'll take a week before it's operational again, which leads to my third informative bad news, we need a new pilot for the pelican. On the plus side though, we're allowed to have free time to recover from what happened."

After I said that, I looked over at her and saw her ears completely up, paired with a shocked expression on her face. She probably didn't expect to have this level of shit dropped on her, especially since she just awoke, woops. Looking back down the hall, I began to wonder if the others would remain unconscious, especially Chloe, I'd really like to try something with her with all this free time we have. As I thought of the simple pleasures of life, Rena asked me,
