Via's POV:
April 29th, 2093, 07:30:
Alberta, Canada:

Driving the Warthog we decided to take, we were out on the open road, with Douglas on the turret. As I drove, I was heading to a small base that we could easily take ourselves. Turning back to Douglas, he was swiveling the turret left and right, looking around for something or someone to shoot. Both of us knew that if we were caught by any Alliance soldiers out here, Helena would be on our ass's for disobeying her orders to not engage during recovery.

Well, I feel just fine, along with Douglas, and we're itching for some action. As we drove, I started to think about Zero, wondering what he was doing right now. Before leaving, I attempted to tell Chloe that we were leaving, but when I knocked and entered her room after a minute of no response, I found it empty. It's highly likely they're both sleeping together, which still baffles me to this day how Chloe could be with him.

I don't have any personal problems with him now, but still, the fact an Anthro and a human are in a relationship just...feels weird. I still remember that day he and I were forced onto a mission together, or more like me, to help with bonding. Blushing as I remembered that embarrassing position Zero had to get me out of, I began wondering how they would have sex.

I mean, Chloe only started having her emotions again just a month and a half ago, making me wonder who's really the top. Knowing Zero, his perverted ass probably has her doing doggy style and telling her it's the best position. That's a question I'll eventually ask her when it's just her and I, since I am genuinely curious. Afterwards, I focused back on reality and saw a C.A. outpost just up ahead.

Turning to Douglas, I said with a grin on my face,

Via: "Ready to blow up a few shitheads?"

Douglas (turns the turret forward): "Only after turning a few into Swiss cheese."

After he said that, I nodded before turning back forward, slamming my foot down on the gas pedal and racing to the outpost. It didn't take long before bullets started flying at us, but with the bulletproof material of the Warthog and our shielding system, the bullets were nothing more then annoying flys to us. After getting close enough, Douglas started going loose on the turret, attacking the outpost itself, which comprised of two room sized tents, a watchtower, a few stationary heavy machineguns, and a truck that looked like it was dropping off supplies.

A few stubborn soldiers that refused to get into cover were immediately shredded by the onslaught that was delivered from the Warthogs turret. Turning the wheel right I crashed right through the back right leg of the watchtower facing the ladder, causing it to crack and crumble before it tipped over, sending the sniper up there falling to a wooded end. Elh, Spirit's, I'm making bad jokes, hanging out this long with Zero might be the primary reason for this.

Afterwards, I stopped the Warthog before jumping out, with Douglas following me soon afterwards. When we did, bullet started hitting our shielding, dropping it at a fairly slow pace. Turning to Douglas, I nodded before rushing forward to get up close, hearing a rocket behind me. Passing my head, one of Douglas's rockets raced forward before striking the ground near a group of huddled soldiers, causing those close enough to immediately get torn apart from the shrapnel while those behind them were burnt and had brutal gash marks, but were still breathing.

Jumping over their cover, I aimed at those still alive with my shotgun and opened fired, ending their unlucky existence. Turning my head at the sound of footsteps, I saw two Anthro's, a female cheetah and a male bull, rushing me with submachine guns. Raising my gauntlet, I rushed forward as well, pushing aside the cheetah with my shotgun before slamming my gauntlet into the chest of the bull. Activating my gauntlet, the chest and back of the Buffalo blew out behind him, leaving a fairly clean hole in its place until blood immediately started racing out of it.
