(Chapter 36)/The Chosen vs The Darkness, Hellcat, and Huntress

Chloe's POV:
April 30th, 2093, 09:15:
Somewhere in Canada:

Standing next to the Darkness, with Huntress at his other side, I looked over at Zero, who wasn't in his state of mind. I've never seen him like this before, even back with Francis, this is a new version of him that has to be stopped. As we stared each other down, red dots suddenly appeared on multiple parts of his body from my HUD, Orion's familiar voice saying,

Orion: "Chloe, a targeted strike with Huntress's Psionic Powers and your Fire powers against these spots will cause a stunning effect against Zero."

Chloe (guarded): "How will that even work?"

Orion: "I'm detecting stored energy at those spots, it's likely a way to regulate the Red Lightning that envelopes him, his body has yet to fully accept it."

It could work, but we'd need to be able to I land a hit on Zero in the first place. He's already fast enough when he isn't trying, but this Zero isn't the joking yet humble human I accepted as my Mate, he's far too cold now. Turning my head slightly, I asked Orion quietly while looking at Huntress,

Chloe: "Do I need to tell her?"

Orion: "I have already sent the plan through an already deleted account."

After saying that, the visor around Huntress's eyes lit up slightly as she saw something, looking over at me afterwards. A silence befell us as we stared at each other, before Huntress nodded slightly, agreeing to Orion's plan. Turning to the Darkness, I said,

Chloe: "The Darkness, think you can try to keep Zero's attention solely on you?"

Darkness: "I can try."

After he said that, Zero was suddenly in front of the Darkness in a flash of red, moving the blades around his arms forward. The Darkness quickly blocked the stab before he was sent flying away, crashing against a mountain over a dozen miles away. Jumping back, I barely had enough time to dodge the slash of his blades before he turned his attention to Huntress. Using her Psion-Spear, she blocked two of Zero's stabs before he suddenly appeared behind her and launched a red Lightning Beam directly on her back.

It wasn't long until she crashed into me, and we were both sent flying into the wall of the mountain around the clear area we were at. Pushing my feet back on the wall, I grabbed Huntress and pushed us out of the Beam, sending us rolling away with steam irradiating from us. Getting to my feet, I looked over at Huntress to see if she was okay, but she was already back on her feet, saying cautiously,

Huntress: "He's getting faster, unnaturally so by Powered standards."

Looking at Zero, he started spinning in place very fast, and a red tornado suddenly formed around him, spinning violently. The air around us started pulling us towards him strongly, with both Huntress and I being dragged on the floor. I was just started to fly up into the air when a sudden force kept me in place. Looking down, I saw Huntress holding onto her Psion-Spear as it was stabbed into the ground as she extended an arm out to me, holding me Psionically.

Surrounding my arms in fire, I said loudly for Huntress to hear,

Chloe: "Get me on the ground."

After I said that, she lowered me until my feet touched the ground, where I finally noticed the purple aura that surrounded me, a testament of her Psionics. Raising my fists, I started punching the ground repeatedly, sending Fire Waves after Fire Waves at the base of the tornado, Zero. I didn't try my Fire Beam since I believed the tornado would catch it and send it back my way. Likewise, my Fire claws need to be hand to hand, and the tornado wouldn't allow me to get close to Zero without him allowing it.
