(Chapter 52)/A Digital Siblinghood

Third person POV:
May 21st, 2093, 09:30:
Fort Liard, Northwestern Territories, Canada:

At a desolate fortress, having been just attacked by the Alliance before moving on, the rubble and bodies of C.A. soldiers were all around the area. Bullet casings, weapons, newly refurbished ARC's, and many more also laid on the battlefield, discarded and destroyed. However, there were two individuals that were investigating the scene, and those two were General Greymore and Deinos. Walking through the battlefield, Deinos picked up a body of one of the ARC's as General Greymore asked,

Sophia Greymore: "What's you analysis of these new ARC units?"

Deinos (scans it before tossing the body aside): "These New ARC's were obviously made using the old ARC coding, barely any changes, the changes are miniscule and clearly cosmetic."

Sophia Greymore (nods): "I see...so they built these ARC's in haste?"

Deinos (nods): "Their desperation cannot be any clearer."

After Deinos said that, he suddenly stopped as he looked at a specific pile of rubble before approaching it. Seeing his sudden interest, General Greymore followed him to the rubble, wondering what could've gotten his attention. After approaching the rubble, Dienos raised his right claw before swiping, clearing the rubble to show a trapdoor. Afterwards, Deinos opened the trapdoor with his tail, looking inside for a moment before turning to General Greymore, saying,

Deinos: "I believe we have found the true reason why this place was defended so viciously."

Greymore (nods): "Lead the way then Deinos."

After being given a command, Deinos nodded before jumping down the entrance of the trapdoor, with General Greymore following soon after. Deinos fell for a few seconds before landing hard on the ground, immediately looking around with his tail raised as General Greymore extended her wings and slowed her descent. Inside was a clean reception-like area, with downed cameras, downed Turrets, and many chairs with a front desk and another door.

Ignoring the first three, both Deinos and General Greymore moved to the door, with Deinos first scanning for any traps before opening the door. After opening said door, both Deinos and General Greymore found themselves in a hallway leading to a split, both looking at each other before walking into the hallway. As they walked, Deinos constantly scanned the walls, floor, and ceiling for any potential traps or hidden enemies, but all his scans showed were electrical wiring that somehow still worked despite the previous battle, with the lights still being on also.

Reaching the split, their were two hallways that divided, with one hallway having a blue line leading to the Observation Center with another with a red line leading to a Testing Chambers. Both Deinos and General Greymore went and followed the blue line, eventually coming across a keycard locked door, which Deinos opened by slamming himself against the door, sending it flying. Afterwards, both Deinos and General Greymore saw that the Observation room had multiple high-tech monitors and computer screens, with a large glass separating the Observation Room with whatever was on the other side.

Walking over to the glass, both General Greymore and Deinos saw what looked like another room with a door at the other end. Inside the room was clear, concrete walls, along with dried blood and black, burned bodies of several Anthro's, along with a few mechanical parts of what looked like ARC unit parts. Up on the roof of the room was a divide, as though the roof opened up to place something down into the room. As they looked in silence, Deinos looked at one of the computers before raising his tail and forming a USB with his tails wiring before plugging it into the computer.

Afterwards, the computer turned on before several images suddenly appeared on screen, with more appearing over the previous ones faster then even the most trained Feline eye can see. After a moment, as General Greymore watched, she asked Deinos,
