Helena's POV:
May 8th, 2093, 08:15:
Vanguard Base, Carway:

Sitting in my office, I was going over various mission reports from all the teams assigned to Vanguard. Despite the situation from what happened at the Mining Facility, we managed to not only capture it, but we also managed to get Zero back. He managed to escape C.A. custody single-handedly, at least, that's what his report states. I left him with Dr. Lesley after he returned and wanted a full medical evaluation of how he's doing.

When I did get it late last night, there was apparently nothing wrong with him physically, of course we'll get that, since whatever happened involved powers. Besides the Space Force Program the Alliance Government has initiated, they also began updating our medical equipment to handle Powered individuals, which won't come into light until a few months from now, if we're lucky. I decided to go to him after getting the report to ask what happened.

His response was along the lines of, 'It was killing my soul, but I reversed the effect and good to go against anything else similar.' From that sentence, I assumed he meant that the attack he took was destroying his soul, but he stopped it and healed himself. Honestly, I wouldn't have bothered as much as I did if I didn't get Chloe's report of him apparently saving Huntress from that attack. I know she isn't supposed to be a dead-loyal soldier to the C.A., but she is a Cyborg made by them.

Sighing while leaning against the table, I began to wonder about Zero, and what went through his thick skull. That time he disappeared in the middle of a meeting with Corporate CEO's really did set the pressure on Alliance Command. Though, I really can't say I blame him, they follow along the old human ways of getting richer at every single opportunity, especially in war. While I knew they were bullshitting, those CEO's stated that they wanted to sponsor Zero to help bring the war to an end.

Ignoring the whole Corporation shit, I looked at the reports, and was just about to log out when my computer screen changed to an incoming call from Alliance Command, with the symbol of Priority Emergency plastered next to it. Accepting the call immediately, the screen didn't change much, but a white line appeared under the caller ID, which began wiggling up and down as the voice of General Greymore came through,

Sophia Greymore: "Helena, listen, I can't talk long, we have an emergency at New York, that creature that attack New Vegas is back, and it has the entire city locked behind some sort of barrier. We can't get through, even high-explosive ordinance can't leave an opening, and we require assistance immediately. Two of our four-star Generals were there to discuss plans with the Corporate CEO's that went to meet Zero, as much as I dislike them, they are a priority rescue with the generals, send Zero, General Greymore out."

(A/N: For reference, Sophia Greymore and Rex are Generals of the Army, which is a rank above normal Generals, with the former being five stars and the latter being four stars.)

After she said that, the call immediately ended, and my screen returned to the previous page. Grabbing my communicator, I pressed the button and immediately said,

Helena: "Zero, my office, now, it's an emergency."

No sooner then I put my communicator down, Zero appeared in front of my desk with lightning racing along the door. Looking up at him from where I was sitting, I stated,

Helena: "I just got a call from High Command, apparently that creature you faced in New Vegas is back, only in New York this time."

Zero (nods): "I'll be there quick."

Helena (raises hand): "Wait, there's a barrier supposedly surrounding the state that's immune to the damage the National Guard can offer. Besides that, those CEO's from a few days ago, they're a priority rescue, along with two of our Generals."
