(Chapter 35)/Loss is Inevitable

Huntress's POV:
April 30th, 2093, 06:00:
Hidden C.A. Information Center:

In the primary command center of this Information Center, I was standing in between Nabiki and Sayaka as our master was looking over the data that the Alpha Spartan provided. After the code was given, I started to wonder why she was willing to give that code so easily, even after we were about to torture her brother. She may care a lot about him, true, but I believe there is more going on then just a simple emotional response.

While I didn't read her mind fully while in the room, I did read an emotion from her, hopeful deception. I could understand the hope part, whether to avoid torture for her and her brother, or hope that someone would get them out. But the deception is what's getting me on my nerves, since the code she provided gave us access to the database. As I began wondering what was going on, I heard the doors behind me open before closing.

Turning around, I saw two of the new Cyborgs from the other day, who I have given the rank of lieutenants for the rest. For The Pack, the ranking system is myself at the top, Sorceress, Swift, and Max below me, these two, plus two more below them, and everyone else following orders. Sayaka and Nabiki don't follow orders from me, but from our master directly, so I consider them the Black Ops of The Pack.

The first is an orange plated vixen with white stripes, who's powers were ground based, able to form structures using rocks or other minerals. The second is a male gray plated shark with green eyes, who's powers were water based, able to manipulate and shape water at will. As they approached, they knelt down before me before the vixen said,

Orange-plated Vixen Cyborg: "Huntress, we have ensured every cyborg has been placed in the locations you have provided, if Zero races here, we will know."

Knowing him, the moment that the Alliance figures out where to find the twins, he will come racing here at high speeds. I also had provided special instructions to not harm the twins should he reach them, since it's not the destruction he is capable of while in control I'm worried about. It's when he loses that control that I'm worried about. The damage he could cause is immeasurable, and besides, I'd rather not have him lose the mercy he's known for.

Huntress: "Good, remember, if he shows no signs of slowing down and ignores the personal, trick him into going into the dampening chamber."

Male gray-plated shark Cyborg: "Yes ma'am, we've already scrubbed every terminal in the chance of an unauthorized access via hacking."

Huntress: "Good, then-"

Suddenly, just as I was about to continue with my line of thought, the ground began shaking violently, followed by the sound of a large, heavy explosion. He's already here, and judging by the impact, he's already inside. He probably already was in minutes ago, he likely found a way to sneak in, only to run into my other brothers and sisters in the places I predicted he would be. Raising my arms, I raised everyone in the room and ensured they wouldn't shake.

After the initial shock was over, I placed everyone back down before landing back on the ground, ordering,

Huntress: "To your squads, misdirect him and avoid engaging directly at any cost, move!"

The two Cyborgs nodded before rushing off, heading to their squads to ensure the plan to capture Zero is a success. Turning to our master, he was cleaning his uniform with his hands before looking at me, saying,

Alias Wolf: "Let us see how well you handle the leadership of your own army, regardless of how small it may be in comparison."

After he said that, he turned back to the terminal he was looking at the data on before typing on it, removing the data and showing multiple live feeds of several cameras in this base. Walking over to it with Sayaka and Nabiki behind me, I looked down and saw something that surprised me. The areas I assumed he would attempt to sneak in were completely undamaged and empty, instead, the very entrance, comprised of Reaper Crystals and that stone that dampens powers, was completely and utterly destroyed.
