Christmas Special: Why Not?

Vanguard Base, Carway:

It was early in the morning on one of the final weekdays of April, with the Alpha Team sleeping soundly. Well, all but one member that is, since he recently had a meeting with a very special person, and realized something. Back in his world, it was Christmas, and he realized that he didn't celebrate it last year with his family and friends in this world. He intended to make it very special for everyone involved.

Walking out of his room, Zero tip-toed threw the hallway of the rooms, ensuring that no one would hear him walking. After going through the hallway, he clicked on his com-link and thwittled with it until he whispered,

Zero: "Pst, Orion, you hear me?"

Orion: "Yes Zero, is there a particular reason why you made this private channel just for you and me?"

Zero (whispering): "I'd like you to set a simmer for thirty minutes, followed with a one-minute warning at the end of it."

Orion: "Why do you want that?"

Zero (whispering): "Well, we didn't celebrate a few holidays now that I think about it, and while I know it's late in this world, I want to celebrate Christmas with everyone."

Orion: "Zero, Christmas is usually celebrated on December 25th, with the Eve of the 24th. It is currently April 27th, so there shouldn't be any celebration going on anywhere, besides, this is a military base and operation, I'm not sure..."

Orion stopped talking when it realized that Zero was giving it puppy dog eyes, clearly wanting to do this. After a moment of debating with itself, it set up a thirty minute timer at the top of Zero's HUD before saying,

Orion: "Very well Zero, you win, I cannot fight you even if you chose to do this without my timer."

Zero (whispering): "Thanks Orion, alright, start it...now."

After saying that, two things happened instantaneously. One, the timer began, going from 30:00 to 29:59. The second, Zero had already left the base, only to come back, only to leave again, and come back again, over and over again. As this happened, from a planetary view from the camera of a satellite, it showed several lines of blue streaking all over the Earth very fast. At one moment, at the Whitehouse, General's Rex and Greymore were sleeping soundly in their separate rooms.

The next moment, and streak of blue light flew around them, and they were gone in an instant. Afterwards, at Antarctica, at a very vast area with a lot of snow, a large hole was being dug as blue streaks of light started spinning around the area as it came back and forth. After a fairly large hole was made, over at the large countryside of Texas, blue lights steaked all around, with some stores having their doors opened instantly before closing and locking again, missing something with cash being left behind in its place.

Back at Vanguard Base, a literal mountain of snow, supplies, and boxes were being formed just behind a fairly large mountain, out of sight for anyone from Vanguard to see. After five minutes has passed, Zero appeared in front of this mountain he made, his hands on his hips as he took a deep breath before rushing off again, and everything from that mountain was slowly being taken off. As that happened, Vanguard Base began to change, with decorations adorning it and Snow covering various places, including outside.

As the decorations and everything was being set up, the sentries on duty took notice of this and became surprised. However, as Zero took moments to stop and talk to them, he pulled some charisma out of his ass and convinced them to stay quiet, hinting that it was a surprise. While the Anthro's didn't know what he was talking about, the humans did and assured Zero that everything would be quiet. Afterwards, Zero went back to decorating, going into the building and decorating everything.
