"Are you a doctor? Please, help my grandfather!"
The Givenchy-clad girl grabbed Ethan like a drowning person clutching at a straw. "If you save him, I'll give you a million dollars."

Ethan leaned closer to examine the elderly man.

In mere moments, the man's eyes began to bleed, his throat swelled red, and cracks appeared at the corners of his mouth.

Without wasting words, Ethan grasped the man's wrist.

The Life-Death Jade activated.

Status: Toxin spreading, organ failure...

Ethan immediately understood the man's condition.

Though his jade could instantly save the man, Ethan hesitated to use it. He preferred to rely on acupuncture to save the man and accumulate more white jade pieces.

He retrieved a needle case from his pocket, pulled out three silver needles, swiftly sterilized them, and began to apply them to the unconscious man.

"Taiji Divine Needles" - Sixth Form: Four Elements Detoxification.

Although Ethan wasn't yet fully skilled, his needle movements were swift. With a flick of his wrist, the needles landed on the appropriate points one after the other.

Acupoints targeted. The three needles locked the toxins in place.

The man let out a muffled groan, his painful expression easing. The swelling and redness subsided.

Without pausing, Ethan prepared three more needles.

At that moment, the crowd became noisy again. Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who happened to be passing by, pushed their way through to investigate.

Seeing Ethan in action, Mr. Smith blurted, "Huh? That useless bum knows medicine?"

Mrs. Smith, still bitter from being humiliated earlier, sneered, "If he knows medicine, pigs can climb trees!"

She mocked sharply, "He's just showing off. Be careful, kid. If you kill him, you'll end up in jail."

Ethan ignored them and calmly inserted the next three needles.

Three another Acupoints targeted.

The three needles drew the toxins together, concentrating them in the abdomen.

Hearing the Smiths' comments, the Givenchy girl hesitated and asked Ethan, "You're not a real doctor, are you?"

"He's a doctor? Then I must be Miracle Doctor!"

Before Ethan could reply, Mrs. Smith sneered, her disdainful tone cutting, "His name's Ethan. He's a live-in son-in-law of the Thompson family, unemployed, living off his wife. What hospital would hire someone like him?"

She added, "Letting him mess around like this? Be careful, or he'll end up killing your grandfather."

Sophia Thompson, who had just joined the scene, frowned and said, "Auntie, please show some decency."

Although Sophia doubted Ethan's medical abilities, seeing him so determined to help made her hold back her criticism for now.

"I'm only looking out for him."

Mrs. Smith glared at Ethan and continued sarcastically, "He thinks knowing a few people makes him invincible, capable of everything. If something goes wrong, not even a god can save him."

"What? You're not a doctor?"

The Givenchy girl's face darkened. She yanked Ethan away, yelling, "If you're not a doctor, why are you messing with my grandfather?"
