After leaving Drunken Immortal Restaurant, Ethan went to the clinic to treat a few patients before heading to the market to buy groceries and cook dinner.

When he finished cooking and turned on the TV to wait for Sophia and her family to come home, he saw Vincent's car pull up outside through the window.

Then, he saw Sophia step out.

His eyes turned cold.

Although Vincent didn't enter the house, Ethan felt inexplicably irritated and kept switching channels with the remote.

Soon, Sophia's tall and elegant figure appeared in the living room. As always, she was cool and beautiful, like an untouchable goddess.

She changed into a pair of indoor slippers, saw the dim lighting, and found Ethan sitting on the sofa watching TV. Her mood instantly darkened, and her face turned cold.

Could this man not be a little more ambitious?

With a hint of reproach in her tone, she asked, "You've been looking for a job for so many days. Have you found one yet?"

Ethan responded indifferently, "Almost. I'm looking. Don't worry, I won't eat the Thompson family's food for free."

Seeing his indifferent expression, Sophia's pretty face became even more displeased.

"Do you think I care about you eating for free? I just want you to have a proper job."

Her expression grew even colder. "If you had a job, your mom wouldn't have to struggle so much. Do you want her to sell herbal tea for the rest of her life?"

Seeing her aloof demeanor, Ethan didn't hold back. "A proper job is great. It lets you properly flirt every day too."

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

Sophia's expression turned angry. "Explain yourself clearly."

Ethan sighed. "There's nothing to explain."

"My car was with Sofia for a client pickup, and Vincent happened to visit my company for business talks, so he just gave me a ride home."

Sophia stared at Ethan with sharp eyes. "There's nothing improper between us. Don't you dare slander me."

Ethan said flatly, "I just hope all these rides back and forth don't turn into something more."

"You always speak such nonsense!"

Sophia was furious. "Ethan, can you stop being so jealous? It's meaningless. If you put this energy into finding a job, you'd have one by now."

Ethan remained calm. "Don't worry, I'll have a job soon."

"I don't want to argue with you..."

Sophia suppressed her anger and walked closer to Ethan.

"I know it's not easy to find a job in ZH City. You lack expertise and have been out of the field for a year. It's normal to struggle."

"But I just hope you keep a positive attitude and don't give up on yourself or get paranoid all the time."

"How about this? My company needs a security guard. The pay is 4,500 yuan. You have good skills. Come to Titan Company tomorrow, and I'll ask Sofia to arrange it."

"You can get used to a nine-to-five job first, and then look for something better."
