The phantom returned to Cici's body.

Ethan extended his left hand, pressing the Life-Death Jade against Cici's head to prevent her soul from separating again.

"Gallbladder perforation, liver damage, severe abdominal bleeding..."

"The jade lacks sufficient energy for full repair, but the Nine Palaces Resurrection Needle can stabilize her condition..."

Just as Ethan had feared yesterday, a single flash of white light from the jade could restore her soul but wasn't enough to pull her through the critical stage.

He would have to rely on the medical skills he had learned that morning.

Seeing Ethan's actions, Dr. Sun roared in anger:

"Who is this fool?"
"What are you doing to Cici?"
"Don't you realize she's dead? Why are you tormenting her body?"

The tragic loss of someone so young was already devastating, but Ethan slapping and treating her body seemed nothing short of cruel and inhumane.

Dr. Sun, fuming, lunged forward to pull Ethan away.

At this critical moment, Ethan couldn't stop. His arm shook, flinging Dr. Sun backward.

Stumbling, Dr. Sun nearly fell to the ground.

Ethan pulled out the silver needles he had just purchased.

The First Style of Taiji Divine Needles: Nine Palaces Resurrection.

Ethan silently recited the acupoints—Baihui, Fengchi, Tianshu—and began inserting the sterilized needles slowly.

Each needle emitted a faint white glow that disappeared into Cici's body.

Following the pathways of the needles, a grid of nine palaces appeared on Cici's body.

The grids expanded, connecting into a unified pattern.

Cici's pale body gained a flush of color, as though the sun had dispelled the darkness.

Dr. Sun was about to push Ethan away but froze when he saw this scene, his face filled with shock.

"She's already dead, and you're sticking needles into her? Do you think you're a god?"
"You even shoved Dr. Sun! Drag him out, now!"

The medical staff, their view blocked by Dr. Sun and Ethan, hadn't seen the miraculous scene. Outraged, they began shouting for Ethan to be restrained.

"Ethan! Do you even know what you're doing?"

Sophia, pushing her way through the door, shouted anxiously, "Get out of there! You're not a doctor. Don't delay the real doctors from saving her!"

She couldn't comprehend what had gotten into Ethan. A stay-at-home husband trying to save someone? It was laughable.

And this wasn't just anyone—this was Ms. Scarlet's daughter. If she lost her temper and blamed him, not even ten lives would be enough to pay for it.

It must have been the morning's misunderstanding that had driven Ethan to this irrational state.

This man—so dramatic over the smallest matters—couldn't he mature just a little?

A dozen medical staff rolled up their sleeves and prepared to intervene.

"Ms. Scarlet, stop them!"

Ethan shouted to Ms. Scarlet, "Give me five minutes, and I'll bring Cici back to you."

"She's already dead. What's the worst that could happen?"

Ms. Scarlet, heartbroken and desolate, snapped out of her daze at Ethan's words.
