Ethan didn't stop and kicked Damien Stone again, sending him flying several meters away.

Damien coughed up a mouthful of fresh blood on the spot.

Sophia was stunned for a moment and then grabbed Ethan's arm, shouting, "Ethan, don't be impulsive!"

Damien roared, "Who are you?"

"And who the hell are you?"

Ethan delivered another kick, snapping back, "How dare you treat my wife like this?"

"Your wife?"

Damien froze for a moment, then became furious. "So you're that useless live-in son-in-law? You dare hit me? I'll kill you!"

"Challenge me all you want, but bullying my woman..."

Ethan slapped Damien across the face again. "Not happening!"

Damien collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.

"Ethan, Ethan, that's enough, don't hit him anymore," Sophia pleaded as she clung tightly to Ethan. "If you keep going, it'll be trouble."

But deep down, a trace of sweetness crept into her heart.

Is this what it means to rage for love?

"Bastard! You hit me; you're finished!" Damien pointed at Ethan, growling lowly. "I'll call the cops! I'll make sure you rot in prison."

"And Sophia will pay the ultimate price too."

"I'll blacklist her from every bank, ensuring she's banned everywhere!"

"She won't be able to borrow a single cent."

"She already owes 50 million dollars in high-interest loans, with the next payment due next month..."

"Without a bank loan, not only will her company go bankrupt, but those loan sharks will have her killed too."

"If you want her and her company to survive, kneel and beg me! And Sophia will accompany Mr. Kane and me for three days."

Damien's voice reached a hysterical pitch. "Otherwise, you're both dead meat."

Ethan didn't bother with words, giving Damien a hard slap instead.

A wail escaped Damien as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

"Blacklist her? Try it." Ethan sneered coldly.

"Fine, just you wait." Damien held his face, spitting threats. "If I don't destroy you both, I'm a coward."

He grabbed his phone and made a quick call.

Soon after, a tall, uniformed woman arrived with five or six people in tow.

Her name badge identified her as Grace Sullivan, the branch manager.

Grace barked, "What's going on here?"

Damien covered his face and complained bitterly to Grace:
"Manager Sullivan, Sophia failed to meet the loan requirements, so I refused her application. But her husband started causing trouble here."

"I tried to reason with him, but he hit me, slapped me even, and threatened to destroy me if I blacklisted her."

He twisted the facts entirely to his favor.

Sophia urgently shouted, "Manager Sullivan, that's not what happened..."

"You've been blacklisted," Grace cut her off dismissively, pointing sternly at Sophia and Ethan. "Arrest them. Now."
