Fifteen minutes later, Sophia stayed at Blossom Bank to handle the loan paperwork.

Ethan was invited by Ryan Barker into the VIP room, where Mrs. Barker, Sabrina Barker, had already been waiting.

The elegant and beautiful woman in a long dress immediately greeted him as soon as she saw him: "Dr. Ethan, hello."

Ethan nodded at her: "Hello, Mrs. Barker."

"Dr. Ethan, you must help us."

Ryan Barker, no longer displaying the disdain he had shown yesterday, grasped Ethan's hand and spoke repeatedly: "Please help me and Sabrina. A child is essential to us."

If his wife couldn't conceive a child within two years, and if Ryan didn't divorce Sabrina and marry someone else, Elder Barker would donate the entire family fortune.

Ryan didn't want to lose the wealth or abandon his wife, so he placed all his hope in Ethan.

Sabrina also echoed, "We'll agree to anything as long as you can help us."

Yesterday, the couple pointed at Ethan, calling him a daring swindler in Han Yue's office.

But now, they were asking for his help.

This dramatic turn of events made the high-standing Ryan and Sabrina somewhat uneasy.

However, compared to their future, Ryan thought that face didn't matter much.

"Let's stop with the small talk. I'll first clear Mrs. Barker's meridians."

Ethan didn't waste time with pleasantries. He smiled as he took out silver needles and carefully disinfected them: "Once your health improves and you have a child, then you can thank me."

Ryan and Sabrina looked at Ethan with renewed respect: "Thank you, Dr. Ethan, thank you."

Ryan had once worried that Ethan might refuse and had even considered clinging to him if necessary, but Ethan turned out to be so approachable.

When Sabrina asked, "Dr. Ethan, do I need to take off my clothes?" Ethan awkwardly answered, "Yes, remove your outer clothes."

Though Ethan wanted to say no—after all, expert acupuncturists could perform acupuncture with their eyes closed—he wasn't like that.

He felt embarrassed. After all, Sabrina was a beautiful woman, and it felt a bit uncomfortable asking her to undress.

It was different from his relationship with Han Yue.

To him, Han Yue wasn't a woman...

Ryan, noticing Ethan blushing, laughed heartily: "Ethan, why are you blushing?"

Sabrina teased: "I'm not embarrassed, but you're shy. How interesting!"

Ryan laughed too, initially annoyed by the need for acupuncture while undressed, but seeing Ethan's demeanor, his unease disappeared. Ethan's expression indicated he was a gentleman.

He joked: "Ethan, didn't you give Han Yue acupuncture before?"

Ethan smiled bitterly: "Han Yue? She's more like a man to me..."

Sabrina and Ryan burst into laughter.

Then Sabrina, shifting her tone, said, "If you feel embarrassed, just call me 'sister.' That way, you'll feel more at ease during the acupuncture."

Ryan nodded eagerly: "Yes, yes, call her sister, and I'll be your brother-in-law from now on."

Ethan hesitated: "Is that okay?"
