Because of his fallout with Sophia, Ethan did not return to the Thompson family villa.
He told Ricky to go home and rest while he spent the night at a small motel across from the clinic.
After two fierce battles, Ethan thought he could finally get a good night's sleep, but unexpectedly, he fell into a nightmare.
In his dream, he and Sophia were surrounded by dozens of assassins in black. He fought desperately to carve out a path.
Just as he was about to escape with Sophia, someone suddenly stabbed him in the back. Ethan used all his strength to turn around, only to see a familiar figure.
He tried to see the person's face clearly, but his vision grew increasingly blurred, and Sophia was being pulled away by the figure, getting farther and farther...
Ethan felt intense pain in his body and heart. He tried to reach out to stop them but was met with another ruthless stab.
He couldn't help but scream:
"Ah—"
Ethan bolted upright, drenched in sweat, even his hair was soaked.
His heart was still racing.
But what pained him wasn't his own death in the dream; it was watching Sophia drift away from him.
Ethan mocked himself, "Eighteen years since that love at first sight, and it's still so hard to forget?"
He then got up, washed up, and changed into clean clothes.
Thirty minutes later, Ethan arrived at the Golden Clinic.
It seemed Alice was expecting him; she had already prepared pastries and milk. Not long after, Remedy Sun arrived in his BMW.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Just as the three of them were having breakfast together, the clinic's door was pounded heavily, accompanied by Aunt Turner's shrill voice:
"Dr. Sun, Dr. Ethan, help!"
Ethan and Alice immediately dropped their breakfast and rushed out. As they opened the door, Aunt Turner collapsed to the ground.
Behind her was Uncle Turner, his face pale, breathing rapidly, his mouth slightly open, unable to speak.
Remedy Sun quickly helped them up. "What happened?"
Aunt Turner looked distraught, "I don't know either. We were just taking a morning walk after having some pastries, and he suddenly collapsed at the street corner."
"It's early in the morning, and waiting for an ambulance would've been too slow."
"I could only bring him here."
There was another reason she didn't mention—it was because the Golden Clinic was affordable. A regular visit cost thirty dollars, and an emergency was just a hundred, much cheaper than an ambulance.
Remedy Sun let out a long sigh, "Little Master, what's Uncle Turner's condition? Why does it look so familiar?"
"Of course, it's familiar. He's poisoned again..."
Before Aunt Turner could speak, Ethan had already taken his pulse and made his diagnosis, "Exactly the same as yesterday—food poisoning."
Remedy Sun was shocked, "Food poisoning again?"
"Aunt Turner, didn't I tell you? Spoiled food can't be eaten!"
Remedy Sun scolded, "In this hot weather, it's best not to eat leftovers at all."
