The elderly man in gray and the others all fell silent.
It wasn't just because of Ethan's cruelty, but also the cold, heartless tone in Ethan's voice.
Even though they had been through countless battles and killed many enemies, they felt an intense dryness in their throats at that moment, unable to speak.

The elderly man in gray looked embarrassed, then forced a smile and said:
"Young hero, my name is Arthur."
"Thank you for saving me and the young lady. I will forever remember this favor."
"I don't know how to address you, young hero?"
He enthusiastically tried to befriend Ethan to thank him for saving his life, and he believed that someone capable of killing Baron Hunter, a Yellow Realm expert, must have a bright future ahead.

"Uncle Arthur, this is Ethan, my friend."
Ms. Scarlet stepped forward and looked at Ethan with an indescribable feeling in her heart.
"Ethan," she said, "Uncle Arthur is my secret bodyguard."

Upon hearing that Ethan was Ms. Scarlet's friend, Arthur immediately became respectful.
Ethan was not surprised; after having interacted with Ms. Scarlet for so long, it was the first time he saw Arthur, clearly the one secretly protecting her.

He then felt a hint of gratitude—Ms. Scarlet had even told him such a life-threatening secret, which showed how much she trusted him without reserve.

In a daze, Ms. Scarlet asked again, "Ethan, how did you come here?"
Ethan wiped the blood from the Fish Intestine Sword and put the ring back on:
"I heard the explosion over the phone, and worried that something might have happened to you, so I rushed over."
"I didn't expect to save your life."
Ethan teased, "Make sure to repay me well in the future."
Ms. Scarlet puffed out her chest arrogantly: "Want me to offer myself to you?"
Ethan's face turned red for no reason.
"Coward."
Ms. Scarlet gave Ethan a playful look and then curiously asked, "I thought your medical skills were impressive, but I didn't expect your martial arts to be so formidable."
"You've been hiding your true self."
At this moment, Ms. Scarlet was genuinely surprised. She wracked her brain, but couldn't connect Ethan with the son-in-law of the Tang family.
At the same time, she had a new thought: if before she had only enjoyed teasing Ethan and watching him get embarrassed, now she wanted to take him home.
"Let's talk about it later."
Ethan waved his hand. "We should handle the scene quickly."
So many people had died, and Ethan was getting a headache. If the police traced him, even ten lives wouldn't be enough.
Ms. Scarlet looked at her phone: "The signal's been blocked. We should leave for now."
Ethan's gaze paused briefly and fell on Baron Hunter and the others' left wrists, where they all had a black ribbon tied.
"Whew—"
Before Ethan could respond, a few off-road vehicles roared into the mountain path.
The car doors opened, and out came a woman in blue and eight bodyguards in uniform.
The woman in blue was wonderful, h. Her wavy hair cascaded down her shoulders. She wore a blue shirt and shorts, highlighting her, and her blue shirt and shorts highlighted her well-proportioned figure.
Especially her long, fair legs, which exuded an irresistible allure.
But she also carried an air of unspoken pride.
She was Ms. Scarlet's maternal cousin, Rose, from the Song family.

"Ms. Scarlet, are you alright?"
Rose rushed over with her eight companions. "What happened here?"
"I'm fine, cousin."
Ms. Scarlet responded calmly, "A group of assassins tried to ambush us here. Six of my sisters died in battle, and Arthur was seriously injured."
Arthur nodded:
"These assassins are very powerful, armed with knives and guns. Judging by their skin color, they are foreign bandits, and there was also a Yellow Realm expert among them."
"Foreign bandits?"
Rose exclaimed in surprise. "How did they come to ZH City to kill Ms. Scarlet?"
Arthur looked puzzled:
"I don't know. What's strange is, how did they know our route? They were well-prepared for the attack."
Rose narrowed her eyes, then regained her cold demeanor.
Ms. Scarlet looked at Ethan with a doting expression: "I was indeed careless today, but luckily, I have a destined protector."
"Meeting Ethan means their misfortune was inevitable."
"Ethan?"
Hearing this, Rose's eyes suddenly turned sharp, focusing on Ethan, who was texting Ricky:
"He saved you?"
Ms. Scarlet nodded. "Yes, that's right."
"Capture him!"
Rose issued an order with a cold tone. "Anyone who dares to resist, kill on sight."
Ms. Scarlet's expression changed. "Cousin, what are you doing?"
Rose fixed her eyes on Ethan, sneering: "At his age, how could he have killed a Yellow Realm expert? They must be in cahoots."
At Rose's command, her eight subordinates rushed to surround Ethan, drawing out black firearms.
Ethan put his phone into his pocket and glanced at Rose and the others:
"Kill on sight?"
Before Ms. Scarlet could speak, Rose harshly shouted:
"You and the assassins must be working together, using lives as a drama to get close to Ms. Scarlet."
"You can fool others, but not me."
Ethan glanced at her wrist. "Proof?"
"No proof."
Rose said arrogantly:
"Even if you did save Ms. Scarlet, in times like this, we must take drastic measures. We would rather kill a thousand innocent people than let one bad person go."
Ethan remained silent for a moment, then nodded. "Very well!"
Rose sneered: "You're calm in such a situation, quite impressive."
"Too bad, you still have to die."
She smirked: "Accept your fate!"
Ms. Scarlet's face turned cold. "Cousin, don't be rash. He's Ethan, he saved..."
"Shut up!"
Rose was forceful:
"Though you're from the Scarlet family, I am your cousin, and I must weed out bad people for you."
Ethan spoke indifferently: "Are you going to provoke me?"
"Provoke you?"
A bald bodyguard sneered: "Kid, who do you think you are..."
His words were abruptly cut off as the Fish Intestine Sword was suddenly pressed against his throat.
The entire area fell silent.
No one saw how Ethan made his move.
Rose narrowed her beautiful eyes, a flash of coldness flickering in them.
The bald man roared, "Kid, do you dare to hold a sword to my throat..."
"Whoosh—"
Ethan reversed his sword and struck. The bald man's body shook, then flew seven or eight meters away, with a hole in his throat.
Everyone's hearts froze.
Rose shouted fiercely, "Who are you?"
Ethan didn't respond. He flicked his wrist, and sword light poured out.
"Ah—"
Seven screams overlapped as the seven bodyguards surrounding Ethan were flung backward, their bodies falling apart.
Though Ethan's martial arts foundation was not very strong, his speed and strength were incredibly terrifying. He could easily slaughter these henchmen.
Seeing seven of her men dead, Arthur and the others turned pale, while Rose furiously shouted:
"Who the hell are you?"
There was no reply, only the sound of a sword being drawn.
Rose quickly retreated, while her subordinates raised their guns, aiming at Ethan.
But before they could pull the trigger, the sword light slashed them down, and in the next moment, a blade was pressed against Rose's throat.
Ethan stood quietly: "You provoked me?"
Arthur instinctively spoke out: "Young brother, show mercy. She's from the Scarlet family..."
Rose screamed: "I'm from the Scarlet family! Ms. Scarlet's cousin! Do you dare to kill me? Can you bear the consequences?"
"Pff—"
A sharp sound rang out as the sword tip pierced Rose's throat.
Rose's body froze, Rose's body froze, unable to believe it. "You... you..."
She couldn't accept it. Ethan had killed her.
The cold light flashed again, and Rose sprayed blood as she fell to the ground, dying without closing her eyes.
The mountain path suddenly became silent!

Arthur and the others were all stunned, looking at Ethan in disbelief. They didn't expect him to be so ruthless, to dare kill Rose, even though she was a member of the Scarlet family.
How were they going to explain this to the family?
Though they were dissatisfied in their hearts, they dared not provoke Ethan now, fearing he might kill them too.

Only Ms. Scarlet remained calm from beginning to end, her expression unwavering.
Ethan didn't even glance at Rose's body. He raised his hand, sheathed his Fish Intestine Sword, and then walked up to Ms. Scarlet, speaking:
"Do you think it's wrong that I killed her?"
If Ms. Scarlet held any resentment, Ethan would sever their relationship and never interact with her again.

Ms. Scarlet gave a faint smile: "Ten cousins wouldn't be worth as much as you in my heart."
Was this a confession?
Ethan's eyelids twitched, then he pointed his finger, changing the topic:
"You don't need to regret this. Look at the left wrists of Rose and the assassins."
Arthur and the others were slightly startled and looked at Rose and the others' left wrists. They were shocked to find that they all had a black ribbon tied around them.

Arthur blurted out: "She's a traitor..."
