With Black Dog and Ian Hunter dead, the situation quickly turned in Emily Brooks' favor. When the Brooks family's reinforcements arrived, the outcome was beyond doubt.
Five minutes later, the battle ended, and Black Dog's men were completely wiped out.
Ethan glanced around the scene, whispered a few words to Andrew Brooks, and then left the bloody site as quickly as possible.
"Grandpa, how is that bastard so powerful?"
After helping her grandfather into the adjacent lounge, Emily's delicate face showed a hint of excitement.
"I thought he only knew medicine."
When she used to call Ethan her master, Emily felt somewhat reluctant, believing that she was strong enough and that submitting to Ethan was too humiliating.
But now she realized Ethan was miles ahead of her.
Suddenly, she felt that the title of "master" was well-deserved.
"I didn't expect it either."
Andrew Brooks remained calm. "But it makes sense. His exceptional medical skills show that he has remarkable perception, so it's normal for him to be skilled in martial arts."
"That's just 'skilled'?"
Emily's eyes widened slightly. "Does that make me an amateur?"
"You've always been all flash and no substance."
Andrew Brooks teased her, "Alright, enough of that. Have someone clean up the scene quickly and make sure no news about tonight gets out."
"Especially about Ethan's involvement—it must remain a secret among us."
"He acted only when he had no choice, and he left quickly afterward, showing that he doesn't want to get entangled in these conflicts. We can't drag him into this."
He saw things clearly.
Emily nodded. "Understood."
"Also, even though we can't mention Ethan's involvement, that doesn't mean we should forget his help."
The wrinkles on Andrew Brooks' face softened into a smile. "Transfer the property of the Antique Market to his name."
"He refused fifty percent of Aurora Group's shares, but he shouldn't reject the Antique Market property, right?"
He was determined to tie himself to Ethan.
Emily nodded. "Alright, I'll find him tomorrow. If he doesn't sign, I'll cry until he does."
"Make sure it's done. We must link Aurora Group to him as much as possible."
Andrew Brooks confided in his granddaughter, "Besides his two life-saving acts, his martial arts and medical skills make him worth befriending."
"That bastard... he also seems to know about appraisals."
Emily suddenly remembered, "Without keen eyesight, how could he see through the four rare treasures at a glance?"
She casually picked up the shattered Tang Dynasty golden Buddha.
Andrew Brooks' eyes lit up, and he patted his granddaughter's shoulder with a laugh. "If possible, I wish you could marry him."
"Grandpa, what are you talking about?"
Emily glared at him, pouting. "He's married! I won't be a homewrecker."
After saying that, she ran off, her face blushing.
"People can get divorced, you know."
Andrew Brooks chuckled, then looked out the window and spoke, "Han Tang, what do you think of him?"
