The next morning, Ethan left the Thompson family residence early.

Sophia hadn't returned to her room the previous night, choosing instead to sleep in her sister Cici's room, clearly avoiding any interaction with Ethan.

Ethan took the hint and left early to avoid an awkward encounter.

As he was leaving, he noticed Linda already awake, standing at the doorway, talking on the phone.

It seemed like she was speaking to Margaret, discussing some ancient family remedy called "Spring Breeze Blood Replenishing Pill."

Linda's demeanor was vastly different from the last time they met—her face was full of smiles as she chatted with Margaret.

Ethan was slightly surprised they were still in contact. He thought that after Fiona was fired by Emily Brooks, Margaret would be too embarrassed to stay in touch.

However, he didn't dwell on it and quickly got into his car, heading straight for Golden Clinic.

"Hey, Ethan, have you had breakfast yet?"

Upon arriving at Golden Clinic, he saw Alice bringing breakfast for Dr. Sun and Adrian Whitehead. She seemed surprised to see Ethan so early.

But her face quickly brightened with a smile. "I made some buns. Would you like to join us?"

Alice was wearing a slightly faded shirt and a short skirt, her long ponytail swaying as she moved around. Her fair, slender legs were quite eye-catching.

Especially when she leaned in, exuding a youthful and vibrant energy.

Ethan felt his heart skip a beat and cleared his throat. "Thank you, Alice."

"I should be the one thanking you! You healed my leg, saved my life, and even got me a position at Blossom Pharmaceuticals."

Alice swiftly set the table for three, then brought over a variety of pastries, calling Ricky to join them for breakfast.

"These pastries are really good. You have quite the talent!"

Ethan took a bite of a corn bun and couldn't help but praise, "With skills like this, you could easily become a culinary expert."

Alice laughed. "Back when I was studying at Harvard Business School, I couldn't stand the burgers and fries, so I started making buns for myself."

"At first, they were terrible, but after practicing enough, they became somewhat edible."

She poured large glasses of soy milk for Ethan and Ricky. "I'm glad you like them, Ethan."

Ethan was a bit surprised. "You studied at Harvard?"

"Oh, she's a genius!" Ricky teased,

"Got into Harvard at sixteen! Double major in Business and Management by eighteen! Earned her Doctorate in Law at twenty-one."

He didn't mention how Alice had to return home after her parents' tragic car accident.

Ethan laughed. "Looks like I've found a treasure this time."

With someone as capable as Alice handling Blossom Pharmaceuticals, Ethan was no longer worried about its future operations.

"That's all in the past," Alice said, sipping her soy milk. "Right now, I'm a blank slate. I told Mary she could treat me like one of the guys and give me all the tough tasks."

Ricky almost spat out his soy milk.

"What do you mean, 'one of the guys'? You should always be a beautiful woman," Ethan joked. "You're not going to the company yet today. Later, I'll take you shopping for some new clothes."
