1 Year 8 Months Later-

Daphne's POV~

I wake up to the sound of rain tapping on the window, and it's honestly so calming. I slowly open my eyes, and all I can see is the gray sky through the big windows next to me. The forest outside is all misty, super chill, and peaceful.

I feel a weight on my stomach, and when I glance down, there he is—still asleep, his head resting right on my belly

I feel a weight on my stomach, and when I glance down, there he is—still asleep, his head resting right on my belly.

His arm is draped across me, his warmth seeping into my skin, making everything feel safe.

A smile tugs at my lips as I run my fingers through his messy hair, down the side of his face. His skin is so soft, and the stubble against my fingertips feels... kinda perfect.

It's crazy how much I love the little things about him—his morning hair, his sleepy smile, the way he pulls me close even when he's deep asleep.

I move a bit, and then last night hits me like a wave, making my cheeks flush.

Yeah... no wonder I'm so tired this morning.

He definitely didn't let me sleep, but honestly, I'm not complaining. Not one bit.

And even though I was wiped out, I didn't want it to end. I didn't want to sleep because being close to him like that... that was all I needed.

I try to move without waking him up. Don't wanna disturb him, but those kicks are starting to make me feel all squirmy.

I can't help but giggle to myself.

Well, I'm eight months pregnant now, and it was a result of our first Wedding Anniversary celebration at night.

I feel another nudge from inside my belly, and a soft moan escapes me as I place my hand over the spot.

"Someone's already up before you," I whisper, even though he's still dead asleep.

Another little kick.

The babies are full of energy this morning. Maybe they're excited about the rain, too.

As if sensing the movement, he slowly stirs awake. His nose brushes against my belly, and he nuzzles it lightly, still half-asleep. I can't help but feel this tingly sensation spread through me.

He lifts his head, blinking at the soft light streaming through the glass. When he finally focuses on me, I can't help but admire him—he looks like a Greek god.

His bare body is... mesmerizing.

Strong and defined, like a work of art, like God spent extra time sculpting him just for me. His muscles ripple with every shift, making him even more attractive.
