Part 45 - Back To School

Chloe pov:

So we were now in Red's room for the evening. Her room had a big heart hspaed bed with a ton of pillows, but there wasn't all too much in here. Red was sitting on her bed while I was standing as I looked around the room.

Chloe: So what do you even do here?

Red: I'm mainly bored and avoiding my mom.

Chloe: Anything else?

Red: Well, there's one thing my mom allowed me to do.

Red then gets up and brings me to a different room, which was next to the library. When I entered, there was art all over the walls.

Red: My mom may have built a Dungeon for me.... but she also gave me this art studio.

I walled closer to some of the paintings.

Chloe: Wow, you did these? They're beautiful.

Red: Thanks, it's the one thing my mom says I'm good at.

Chloe: I'm sure you got many other talents. Red.

I say as I'm looking around at all the different paintings before turning back to Red.

Chloe: Wait. Were the paintings we pasted by in the hallways the ones you painted.

Red nods her head.

Red: When my mom discovered my talents for art, she made me draw a lot of portraits for her.

Chloe: How many paintings have you drawn?

Red: over 100 for sure. I do have a favorite, tho.

Chloe: Oh really, which one?

Red: it's a secret one I keep from my mom, but it's this one.

She then walks over to a corner and moves a few paintings out of the way, revealing a picture of her as she's sitting on a big tree.

Chloe: Wow, this one is so detailed.

Red: Yeah, I really like this painting. It reminds me of freedom.

So, after looking at more of her painting, we got back to her room.

Chloe: Um.... Red? Would it be possible for me to go back to Auradon tomorrow? I loved my stay here and all, but I don't want to be an interruption to your training, and I don't really see my purpose here.

Red: I mean, you're not an interruption, but if you really want to go, I'll send you back there.

So we we went to bed and I packed the night before. I got woken up early by Red as she got me out of the castle. The limo was waiting for me.

Chloe: One more thing before I go.

I gently grabbed Red Face and kissed her.

Chloe: See you when you get back. Love you.

I then wave as I got into the limo and left to go back to Auradon.

Once there, I went back to school like normal, but this time Red wasn't with me tonight, so I had the room to myself. I kept glacing her side of the room, knowing she's not even here. I got the idea and got up and slept in her bed with the stuffed rabbit. I fell asleep as I could smell her scent from the sheets. The next morning, everything was normal again. We had gym class, I had to get a new partner this time, but it was fine. But before the lunch bell rings, Mal spoke into the intercom.

Mal: Attention students, the Queen of Hearts is now locked back into Wonderland, where she won't be able to ascape again. We'll have a celebration tomorrow.

What did I just hear? Red is locked back in Wonderland?! What? I thought Mal wanted to protect her. I felt something, a strong feeling. It was like my heart was hurting physically. Then the bell rang, and I ran to the library in a panic as my heart was racing. I can't let Red get locked in. She needs to be here in Auradon, just like all the other vks. I then asked the desk lady for a y book about Wonderland, and she pointed to a second. After searching and searching, I was about to give up. None of these books say anything about how the rabbit hole works or anything. I sat down against the shelves, ready to cry and give up when a book fell right on my head and fell on my lap. After yelling ouch a little too loud, I then loom down at the book that was open. I read it, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I then quickly go and hide in a corner and read it. It talked about how the rabbit hole is like a portal that's strong but can shatter like glass if this special, rare type of diamond is used to break it. The diamond was called the "bloodlust diamond." Once broken, no magic can seal up the portal. I then flip the pages to see if there's anything about this special diamond. But there was nothing else. I then put the book back and went back to the lady to ask if there were any books about diamonds that could help. She points to another section of the library, and I made my way and read more and more books. Sadly, nothing about this bloodlist diamond. The bell rang, and I had to go back to class. During class thoni remember that Audrey owns a shop filled with crystals, diamonds, and other gems and stones. The feeling of hope washed over me. I just had to wait til after school. I then gave her a call.

Audrey: Hello?

Chloe: Hey Audrey, it's Chloe.

Audrey: Oh hey, how's it going?

Chloe: Not do good. I need help with this special diamond.

Audrey: Oh well, I know a lot about all sorts of diamonds. What type of diamond did you need help with?

Chloe: is it ok if we meet up? I think it's better if I come to your shop.

Audrey: ok, ok. I'll be waiting here.

I walked 20 minutes into town to meet her at her shop.

Audrey: welcome in, here I'll close my shop early today.

So after a few more customers we were finally alone.

Audrey: so what's this diamond you were so eager to learn about?

Chloe: Well we need to talk about unique artifacts and such so I found this diamond called the bloodlust diamond. Do you know anything about it?

Audrey: Hmm, I have heard about it yes. Let's me look in my library I'm the back and see if there's any info.

She goes and looks at a few books before coming back with one as we sit on the sofa she has in her shop.

Audrey: the bloodlust diamond is a red diamond the size of someone's palm. It's power holds greatness if found. It's location is unknown but it said to be in an enchanted cave near water.

Chloe: I need to find that diamond.

Audrey: Wait why?

Chloe: because it's important.

Audrey: Well if I had to take a wild guess as to where this diamond could possibly be. It would be the enchanted lake.

Chloe: But there's no cave there.

Audrey: there might be one hidden... look I know you're a kind girl with good intentions, but this diamond can be dangerous for all we know. If you find it, use it for good. Promise me.

Chloe: I promise.

Audrey then lended me the book and I walk back to school where I spend the rest of the evening reading as much as I could about this diamond and then headed to bed where I was crazy worried about Red. Does she know she's locked in Wonderland? How did she and her mother react? Is she in trouble because of me? How did Mal even know that they were in there? I hope she's ok, I can't even begin to imagine what she's thinking or feeling right now. She doesn't deserve this. I need to save her. I really hope this diamond can free her. I then looked outside the balcony for a few minutes processing my thoughts and emotions before it got cold and I had to head back to bed. I closed my eyes thinking about Red embrace we shared a few days ago. I really need that girl. Soon I drifted off to sleep ready for tomorrow.
