Part 38 - I Want Chloe

Red pov:

Soon, it was lunchtime as I walked into the cafeteria and saw Chloe eating at another girls table. I walk over to her.

Red: Hey Chloe, won't you come sit with me?

Chloe: Oh, I wanted to sit here with Leah. She also said you're not a good person.

Hearing that hurt.

Red: But you shouldn't judge by its cover. If you got to know me, you'll like me too. Can I join you guys then? I don't really like to sit alone. 

I could see Chloe feel bad for me and convince Leah to let me sit. She agrees, and I grab my tray and sit with them.

Red: So Leah, we have met before, right?

Leah: Yes, on the 2nd day, I think but it feels like it's been a month.

Red: yep crazy 2 weeks. A lot has happened.

So we spent lunch together, and the rest of the day went by pretty normal. I kept my eye on Chloe to make sure she was OK. I know I suspended the bullies, but I don't know if there's more. After school, I told Chloe that she does fencing because she didn't remember that either. While she was sword fighting, I decided to go to the library to see if I could find anything as to how she lost her memory. If it isn't from blunt force trauma, it's has to be related to magic. I asked the lady at the desk 8f she could help me, but she just pointed to the section filled with different books. After searching through as many books as I could. Not one contained a spell that would do that. I headed back down and ran into Mal and Evie.

Mal: Oh hey Red, what's wrong?

Red: Chloe lost her memory, and I can't figure out how.

I said, practically grunting.

Evie: Wait, what? How did this happen?

Red: Well, I caught her being beaten up by bullies, and after saving her butt, she didn't know who I was. I brought her to the hospital but they couldn't find anything.

Mal: must be a spell then.

Red: I just came back from the library, and I couldn't find anything.

Mal: Did you try the spellbook the vks used?

Red: Oh, I didn't think of that. I mean, I kinda suspended them already.

Mal: Well, I can ask Uma for their address, and we can go and get it.

So that's what we did. Went to Uma and headed to each of their houses to see which one of them had the book. We first went to uriel because she's most likely to have the book. But she didn't. We then went to the second vk, and he had it. Mal took it, and I punched him in the face before walking back to the car, leaving him on the floor in pain.

Once in the car, Mal was driving, and I was in the passenger seat while evie was in the back.

Mal: That was a mean punch ya did there.

Red: they messed with Chloe.

Mal: But wait, shouldn't you be happy Chloe doesn't remember your bad side and the past?

Red: I mean, I should, but I don't.

Evie: How come?

Evie says as she leans over. I took a moment to think.

Red: because as much as bad things happened. Some good things happened too, it's sad she doesn't remember those. We just went on a first date, too.

I could hear Evie gasp behind me as I rolled my eyes.
