Part 100 - The Magic Ritual

Red pov:

We were finally back in Auradon and just wanted to rest for the rest of the evening. I'm quite nervous about tomorrow, but at least Ruby reassured me that I have more than enough love magic in my blood. My mom can't punish her now. my cousin is safe from her, at least for now. That was honestly what I was most nervous about. We met for a day, and she agreed to the queen's terms to be one of my servants. She said yes so fast, I wasn't expecting it. Once at the dorm, I just had to ask.

Red: Hey Ruby, can I ask you something?

Ruby: Sure, what's up?

She said, putting her bag down on her bed. She sat down as I sat next to her on her bed.

Red: Why did you agree on my mother's terms to come here?

Ruby: I always wanted to attend Auradon prep.

I accidentally cut her off at her misunderstanding of my question.

Red: I mean, why did you agree to be my servant and to help me with my magic when you only knew me for less than a day? You barely knew me. What if I was secretly just as bad at my mom? You were willing to risk that?

Ruby: Well, even if I barely knew you for a day... I knew you were nothing like her, I could see how happy and genuine you were with my mom before I even walked in. I got to know a little bit of your past. I wasn't expecting you to be so open off the bat, but you were, I liked that.... as for the whole servant thing.... I knew even if I was an actual proper servant like your mother would want me to be, you would treat me and everyone else right. Besides, it was my choice, and I made it so. Is there a reason why you ask?

Red: I was just thinking about how my mom won't hurt you tomorrow, and it made me wonder why you decided to come with us. I was just surprised that day. I know I can't redo Chloes pain my mother inflicted into her.... but I hope I can prevent her from hurting you, too.

Ruby: I trust you, Red. I know you got my back.

Ruby then gives me a hug before gently pushing me to Chloe. Chloe caught me falling. I then held her hands.

Red: Thanks for coming with us to help me with my training.

Chloe: Of course, it was my pleasure to show you my love.

Rwd: I still don't understand how you like me so much.

I walk away, heading to the washroom to shower.

Chloe: One day, I'll make you understand.

Red: Sure you are, princess.

Chloe giggled as I closed the door. After a nice shower, I came out, and we headed down for supper.

Red: Let's hope tomorrow goes well.... I have a bad feeling.

Chloe: Well, be right here for you, right Ruby?

Ruby nods. We just spent the rest of the night easy before going to bed. I spend the night tossing and turning a little. I got woken up by Chloe's kisses. We then got up, and we got a knock on the door.

I answered it.

Guard: Here is your gown for the ritual. Wear it immediately.

Red: Thanks.

I close the door and put it on. I hated it, but at least it was a thinner dress. We got down and ate before we got the announcement to go out to the fields.

Red: the fields? For a ritual?

We headed there, and all of the students were on the bleachers. We then saw a gazebo and something behind it that was covered. I gave Chloe and Ruby a hug before they went to sit down. There were guards around, and my mother was waiting for me under the gazebo. I made my way there as everyone settled. My mother then poked my arm to check my blood.
