Chloe pov:

I woke up feeling refreshed and noticed Red wasn't in bed. I got up and saw Ruby brushing her hair in the mirror.

Chloe: Where's Red?

Ruby: I think she left when I woke up about 20 minutes ago.

Chloe: Wait, why did she leave so early? We always go eat together.

Ruby stops brushing her hair, turns around, and walks to me.

Ruby: Well, she did seem quite sad last night due to what happened.

Chloe: But it was just a small argument.

Ruby: Probably not to Red. I heard her cry in her sleep. She was trying to be quiet, but I heard it.

Chloe: Wait, I didn't hear that. What did she tell you?

Ruby: If I remember correctly, she was telling me how she wanted to help you face your fears and didn't expect the bridge to snap. She also seemed very upset by the fact you got mad and said it was her fault.....

I then remembered, I didn't even think of how those words would affect Red.... especially for something that wasn't actually her fault. It's the bridge that was faulty, not Red's....

Chloe: Oh no.... I rejected her cuddles last night because I was still shaken up from the incident. I need to apologize to her. Oh, how can I be so ignorant.

Ruby: You were just startled. Being afraid of bridges and snapping, making you fall that far, would definitely shake anyone up. It's probably just a trauma response... but I'm glad you van finally thought clearly to comprehend what happened. I would probably not wait longer, If I know anything about Red is that she can easily overthink, and the more she thinks about it, the more she spirals.

Chloe: You're so right. I'll go try to find her, thank you.

I then quickly get dressed and run out the door. I ran all around school to try and find her, but I couldn't find her anywhere. I looked in the garden, the halls and empty classrooms. She was just nowhere to be seen. I really hope I can find her before class.

Red pov:

I left our dorm early, so I wouldn't face Chloe just yet. I decided to sneak in Uma's office and grab my cards before heading on the roof. I sat down still thinking of what happened last night. I really shouldn't have done it, I regret practically forcing Chloe to go on that bridge. She had good reason to be scared, but I just ignored her. It is really my fault. While looking down sad, letting my legs dangle off the edge, I then saw Chloe running in the garden below. I quickly hide, laying down on my stomach, watching her as my eyes peak out. Soon, she went back to the school as the bell rang. I waited a few minutes before getting down and heading to Uma's office for my next lesson with my mom.

Chloe pov:

The bell rang, and I still couldn't find Red. I sighed in defeat as I went to class. The whole morning, I was getting more and more nervous. The more time Red is left alone, the more time she has to ovethink. Hopefully, I can find her at lunch, I really really need to talk to her as soon as I can so I can stop her mind from thinking about the wrong things any further. After what felt like the world longer morning, I ran out the door and headed straight to the cafeteria, where I noticed Red grabbing some food. She turned to see me, and she quickly grabbed some snacks before putting them in her pocket and  headed to the door. I quickly ran and blocked the door.

Red: Chloe, get out my way.

Chloe: No, I need to talk to you.

Red: What to tell me it my fault again? I already know, you don't have to rub in it.
