Y/N gets more than she bargained for when getting to know the mystery creature that's been living in her shop silently for the past few years. She never would've imagined the sort of adventure he would lead her to, nor did she expected to be close w...

All the excitement, food and dancing was as wonderful as it was draining. By the time Y/N had returned to their room for the night, her feet were aching. Her clothes squeezed too tightly at her waist, and all she could dream about was letting her hair down, slipping into her coziest pajamas and falling face-first onto the bed. Phil would wrap her up in his arms and join her in hibernation for the next few days. The first thing she did upon walking in was kick off her shoes. Breathing a sigh of relief, she let her posture fall.
"That was too much party for me, I think. If I drank anything, I'm pretty sure you would've found me lying face-down in the cake." Phil laughed at her joke while shutting the door, watching from behind as she started pulling out the pins in her dress and hair. She left them all on the table they often ate their meals at to keep them in one place, so they wouldn't get lost.
"You could have if you wanted to."
"Oh, you haven't seen me heavy drunk yet. I would hate to make a fool of you or myself in front of all those people, especially since I know a lot of them were probably important. Besides, I think I had plenty to drink at that bachelorette party to last me a lifetime. I don't even remember half of it. Thank goodness for Luther's hangover cure; otherwise, I'm pretty sure I would've been at death's door instead of the alter."
"In that case, let's be glad he left us more of it in that gift bag." Phil laughed, walking up behind her as she reached to loosen the ribbons binding her back. She was surprised to feel his hands take over, his soft, leathery skin brushing softly against hers as she lowered her arms to let him finish the work. She smiled faintly, feeling the flutter of butterflies in her belly. "As for embarrassing me, I couldn't care less. I can take ridicule." Y/N hums, hardly believing it.
"With your temper, sure," she replies with amused sarcasm. "The second anyone says anything bad about me, I'm pretty sure you'd toss them in the river." Phil neither confirmed or denied, tilting his head left and right with consideration, but both knew that it definitely was a possibility.
"Aside from that, you looked very beautiful tonight. I could hardly keep my eyes off you," he compliments, all four of his eyes narrowing tenderly at her shoulders as the fabric of the dress sagged the moment the ribbons were undone. Y/N acted quickly and held it up against her chest, while the backs of his fingers ghosted over the nape of her neck. She stiffened slightly, very well aware of just how closer he was standing now. Bending his neck, Mephistopheles planted soft kisses along the crook of hers, her skin smooth like silk. The feathery touch caused her to take slower breaths to keep her frantic heart in check as she closed her eyes to simply enjoy the feel of his lips, while his claws slid over her stomach, wrapping around it in a nice hug as he leaned his chest up against her back.
