Aries stood in front of St. Mungo's hopsital, thoughts swarming around her mind as to what she possibly owed to her parents by coming to visit.
It had been an hour since Euphemia dropped off her and Sirius at the hospital, but as soon as they touched the ground, Sirius was impatient to leave.
With that, Aries had told Euphemia that she would run some errands and to not rush coming back.
Under the circumstances, it would've been better to just stay home and forget about her parents. It wasn't like they did anything for her anyway, why would she do something for them?
Moral obligation? Of course not. Guilt response? They'd should've killed her if that's what they wanted. A quick check-in? Could only be an excuse.
Aries felt numb standing in the midst of nurses on break, patients having outdoor time, volunteers and visitors coming and going.
She wondered if there was ever a moment when a healer had wanted to kill a patient. Aries knew if she was allowed in, she might just make their job easier and poison her parents. It might be worth something. But wouldn't that just make all of that pain growing up, because used to do exactly what they wanted her to be like in the first place.
They had hurt her in every way they possibly could and now here she was. If Aries learned anything from her mother, she would've called herself laughably weak and rather idiotic.
Which is exactly why she wanted to go. To prove that her parents lessons rolled off of Aries like water on a coat. That she was better than they ever were. She wanted to prove that no matter how many times her mother told her she wasn't good enough, not thin enough, not perfect enough...that Aries let every insult go up in flames and turn into ash before her.
Most of all, Aries wanted to know how close they were to death. If all was how father had showed her once when he wrote it, most of the money under the Black name would go to her from the will.
None of it really mattered very much in a sense. Aries had the ability to work at Gladrags and make clothes. She could become a professor at Hogwarts. With such a gift for spells and potions, Aries could become a healer or go into some sort of security position.
But, oh, taking back what belonged to her. A birthright savings was the perfect opportunity to make her mother go mad. Something Aries craved. If she could put a moving picture of her mother on the wall in the house and change every piece of furniture while Walburga had to watch. Her bark would be nothing but pleasure.
With revenge set in her mind, Aries walked with a step of grace and an air of spite. She felt powerful walking through the front door of the hospital, nearly smiling when asking for her parent's room location.
It was rather entertaining watching the front desk lady squirm at the mere last name Black.
Three floors up later, Aries found the room. She was rather unsurprised by the fact that their room had a view and yet all the windows were covered by curtains.
Aries turned the knob using wandless magic, keeping her hands behind her back. Slowly the door swung open to reveal her father laying on a bed. The bed looking as if it was for vip patients with nice silk sheets and matching pajamas.
Next to Orions bed was a sliding curtain which was currently blocking Walburga on a duplicate bed. Across from them lay another bed with what looked to be Regulus curled up with his back facing the room.
For a moment, Aries forgot the revenge plot over the will and remembered Regulus. What would happen to him after Orion and Walburga passed away? Would he become an orphan? Would he be taken care of by a foster home? Would Kreacher take care of him? Questions roamed her mind for a moment until,
